My locs are patchy in color due to self dying. They are different lengths. Some are thick and some are thin. Some have thinning spots and some have lumps. I deal with the occasional influx of lint and buildup. I have different textures throughout my head of hair. I have twists in my locs from combining and I have one loc that's a little flat. I maintain my locs and I take pride in them. For those of you who say my locs are perfect, I'm here to remind you there is no such thing. Have a blessed journey!

Keisha oh Keisha; it really doesn't matter - overall, your locs are still dope as fu*k.
Well, let's just say that they are perfectly imperfect cos they're freakin' gorgeous.
Beautiful! Your so-called imperfections give your hair character. No one has perfect locs and your hair is gorgeous!
tbey82 I was literally just thinking of your channel yesterday. Crazy
tbey82 Heyy thanks love ❤️
I needed to see this so I can stop obsessing over my immature locs. They are crazy but I love em. Thanks girl!! Love following your journey ❤️
Awesome! I have the same kinds of imperfections in my locs! I love that they are not perfect. Imperfections make each of our heads of hair unique! Thanks for sharing this video with us.
Thank you for sharing this. I have grown tired of hair forums that focus on grids and parts and, "that one disrespectful loc" that won't lay down. What I see here is thick, healthy, clean, shiny beautiful hair. Sometimes the obsession can be too much.
Dang! I was just jammin' to that background music while checking out the "imperfections." That's how locs are supposed to be: perfect in their imperfections. Nuh true?
Gabi Creighton facts
Love it !!! Really like the fact that your acknowledging the imperfections, nobodies loc's are perfect. Im going to soon start my own channel to talk about my journey and trials and tribulations. Learned alot from your videos.. thanks and keep up the good work !!
Thanks for sharing! I too have imperfect locs and don t like anyone to look to closely because of it. This has given me confidence to just roll with it.
your locs are beautiful the imperfection is what makes them unique
Your scalp is so clean
Beautiful! I also get random patches of hair near my hairline that don't want to stay in the loc. I love all of the "imperfections" in my loc. They make my love unique to me. I have some twist, some big, some fat, some lumpy, etc. it used to blow my mind when people would complement them because I saw what I thought to be imperfections. As they matured (almost 5 years) I've grown to love all the quirks. It really is "more than a hair journey!"
GURL!!!! You have no idea how much I needed to see this video!!! I'm looking at my locks and I'm looking at my base and I see short curly hair that's doing it's own thing, then I got locs that are thin, then I got a few that the base won't loc, etc., etc., etc. And looking at this makes me feel so much better. With locs there will ALWAYS be issues so just roll with them and for the long haul. Thank you so much!!!!
Love love love this video Keisha... I honestly have battled with feeling like my locs could have been different if I had done this or not done that because I wanted them to be "perfect" in appearance. Only recently (within the past year) have I truly accept my journey for what it is...Mine. I now semi free-form and I have bumps and lumps in a few of my locs, as well as twists from the ones I've combined and hair that grows seperate from my locs that on retwisting has to be incorporated back into each loc. They are far from perfect but I love them. They are mine and though I've made a few mistakes in my journey I wouldnt change it for the world. Keep inspiring Queen. Blessings.
This is my story. Was ready to cut them off in the quest for perfection. Decided I will lov them right where they are.
When you're a minute into the video and realize you've been staring at a scalp but it's oddly relaxing 😂 Anyways, no loc is the same and that's the beauty of dreads! Each one tells a story. I'd be worried if all mine looked the same lol. Beautiful Keisha!
Aleigha Nicole 😂😂😂 thanks love ❤️
Thank you sooooo much for this video I was going crazy trying to do perfect parts I feel so much better now
Scalp looking squeaky clean 😁👍🏾 I love your locs! 🥰
And i thought my roots needed a retwist lol 😄
some times it looks cute when the roots are a bit messy
...love ur hair and the color 😍
Kimmi Gerrow lol I haven't twisted since January and I'm tryna to free myself from retwisting like clockwork.
Keisha Charmaine your hair looks really good for not twisting since January.
Omg! I appreciate this video so much! Even with your imperfections your hair is Beautiful💖💖💖this video has encouraged me to concentrate on health not perfection. In time the perfection will come even though it's not!
having just dyed my locs and cringing from how thin they are now.....i totally needed this...i am loving them no matter what. they are perfectly imperfect.
imperfectly beautiful!
yes than you for sharing. I feel better about my locs now
This video relly helped me. I am 18 months in and I'm just finding that my loc hair wont stay in the loc. It grows outside of the loc so there is a lot of tangles and hair meshing going on. I have some that have not quite mended together after I combined at 6 months and some that are bigger than the others and some that are flat. I was ready to just start over because I really have no qualms about cutting my hair, but I will hang in there and in the process change my perspective of this concept of "perfect locs." Your locs are beautiful btw.
I totally agree, there is no such thing as perfect, even in my own journey I saw that I had different textures of hair and I definitely have locs that are totally different in size and shape, but I LOVE them all.
this video gave me hope. I started my locs a week and a half ago and I am really dissatisfied about certain areas. seriously considered taking them out and starting over but just can't bring myself to do it.
Thanks for sharing.... I struggle with minor build up... my locks have lumps humps and bumps but I love very humpy lumpy bumpy one of them and I am staying on my journey... 15 months in
same issue!! I LOVE IT!!
Simply beautiful, hair texture and locs!
Just like mine! I love every single one!#loclove
it was good to see this video. I have A LOT of imperfect locs and now I know that's a natural thing. I went natural after all. no regrets! love it!
Perfectly imperfect!❤️
Love this video! We never get to see them up close and personal so this is a treat. They look beautiful. Thanks!
This video is really really important. Shout out to you! Locs are perfect just the way they are!
I absolutely love you locs. Thank you for posting this video.
I'm glad you did this video cause nobody locs are perfect 👌
I feel you Keisha but at the end of the day...I luv my Locs
absolutely gorgeous hair and the condition of it is on point 😊
Yours seem so nicely parted! wish mine would stay like that! I'm considering cutting this set and growing another from the scalp up
This was very relaxing to watch
Thank You for that confirmation Sistah love the video
I love it. how long did it take for your combined locs to combine? I loved the red and green yarn u used to have in it
Your locs are still beautiful regardless. I one day want locs myself.
Hi beautiful! They may be imperfect, but I think that's what makes them so gorgeous, and besides, I don't think I've ever seen anyone with perfect locs. I gotta say, so many people do videos of their locs and on closeup, u see a million white specs and dandruff and buildup and God knows what in their scalp and locs. I feel that unless your doing a video on dandruff or buildup, you shouldn't show that 'cause it's nasty!! You, my love, have such clean, immaculate locs and scalp. Beautiful!!!!!! It's obvious you take good care of them!
thanks for sharing keisha. .
You still have one of the most beautiful locks I've seen 😊
I love your locs!
Yup... that's me too !😊
Well. . . Imperfect or not, your hair and scalp look super clean and healthy.
thank you
I wish my hair grew out that thick and curly but I love mine yet and still. #loclife
Thanku sooo much for sharin a very personal look at yr locs .... I,ve always wanted to see them up close jus b,cos when U were showin them in sme videos they weren,t shown close enuf
Peace an Blessins
I love your roots. 😋
THANK YOU!!! I STILL LOVE YOUR LOCS THOUGH ♥
I love them
I love my Loc's but I want something new, I think I am going to cut them off halfway and leave the front short. I will ask my Loctician she comes to my house to do my hair, the hair is to heavy for me now. I love the color of your hair, Mines is Gray-Whitish Silver I like the color but I want something different 2017
@1:49 I have two of those that make me so anxious especially since i just started and this is the first video ive seen where someone shows it
Oh my, Keisha, you are serving us root porn, scalp porn and as always LOC Porn! Love the vid. I have twisted a few of my own locs to combine. I am over having thin locs. now i want thicker locs. I started with 177 and I'm down to 132. had them for almost 13 years and cut them twice.
Imperfetti ma molto belli. I love your hair, bye from ITALY
Your roots are sooo pretty! Also, what's with the little short hairs? do you twist them into a loc when grooming? Heehee. I love the little twist in that loc actually. Your hair has so much character, Keisha! 😄❤
Sihle Lin-Chan thanks, yeah but because of the shape of my hairline and how my locs are parted right there, those hairs never stay in my locs. I haven't done a good retwist since January too.
Keisha Charmaine mine does the exact thing
Sihle Lin-Chan Me too!
This idea of "perfect locs" is really silly and I love that you embrace your hair in all of its complicated beauty but your parts are super defined. Lol I love my hair but I wish I didn't have to unmarry locs every single day!
Absolutely enjoyed this vid! Love it. thanks for sharing. Such clean, well kept yet free and diverse locs.
This is realness tho. (y)
Literally almost exactly what my hair looks like I'm not kidding lol so weird
your hair looks good. I've been using the actual aloe plant to do my retwists . I have a small problem with moisture. I use the authentic African black soap by Alaffia & their conditioner. I would love your opinion on what I can use to moisturize! my aunt introduced me to vegetable glycerin. Nd it helps me. is that also good to spray on your scalp? or is it better to just spray ON your locs? she gave me a mixture of that with glycerin and vitamin e oil I just added some water and rosemary EO to it. I haven't tried rose water yet which is what I plan on purchasing today. I also have a mixture of olive oil, rosehip seed oil, and sweet almond oil that I apply to my scalp. ive tried my olive oil mixture on my 5 month old son. I'm not sure if I should put vegetable glycerin in his hair or not. his dad is black/filipino so he has fine curly hair I'm not sure if that mixture will be the right to use idk idk. but I will try rose water on him. I want to try black castor oil on him as well.
i see no imperfections, just beauty!
goodmorning,they are still very beautiful;)
I tried adding the oil to my shampoo and I must say my hair feels less course n lighter!!!🙌🙌🙌
Hello, I'm 2mo into my journey & @ times I'm worried. I started my locs with 2 strand twist that were small in parts. I combined for fear that they would break off in the long run because I have fairly thick hair. Now I'm experiencing lumps & bumps in a few & I dnt know if that's to be expected going thru the journey or if that's apart of budding? Also I decided to retwist every 3wks & wondering if that's to often? Just dnt really know what to expect with my sort of hair texture.
that is to be expected but palmroll to smooth them out over time
❤❤❤
