Jim, there is something ethereal about the videos you shoot. The music, the photography, the beauty of the countryside around us that you always seem to capture. This was an epic and I intend to visit this extraordinary corner of Dorset. Thanks mate.

Don’t ever stop making these Jim. I absolutely love your videos, always give me inspiration to get out and see our great country. I know those Dorset cliffs well, although I have never been that Far East. I think I’ll try and put that right before the summer has totally gone. Thanks for the inspiration pal 👍

Wonderful to see you back Jim, and what a return! brought back so many memories of visiting Corfe castle when I was a seven year old boy, I'm now 57 and it was lovely to see those vistas again, what an absolutely beautiful part of the country, a very special place indeed! all the very best........Sev.

Oh Jim I couldn't resist watching this again over breakfast. I needed a bluebell fix and that woodland is pure magic for me. I can imagine the fae 'just out of eyeshot'. What an absolutely stunning woodland and those fossils are incredible for all to see in the sediment. Your drone footage is amazing. Your videos to me are like a 'moving meditation'. Much love and blessings, Niki.

My pleasure, sir. I started watching your channel at the start of the first lockdown, I came across your Meon Valley trail video. I'm familiar with the area as my mother was born in Wickham, but never knew the trail was there. It inspired me to get out and have a walk down there, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I then worked my way through all of you videos, and I absolutely love the vibe you create, the composition is always very well thought out. Your passion for the outdoors and frustration with the modern world shines through and is very relatable. It's so great to see you back doing what you enjoy. All the very best, take care and carry on being inspirational!! Cheers Jim. 👌

I've just been up to my neck in work Boyd. Resenting every job that comes in knowing that's another month before I can get out, but the contract is done now and I'm back to two weeks on two off and I couldn't be happier. This walk has kept me sane though, the thought of getting out here and having the time to just film what's in my path has kept me going and looking back the two years have zipped by. Easy to say once done but it was tough to go back full time after such a laid back life for so long and now I can honestly say " I'm semi retired" and know that it's for good this time. Thanks as always my friend.

Thank you Karl, I know exactly what you mean mate. My way of dealing with the last couple of years was to go back to full time work, not only that but it was a two year deal and I’m glad it’s now behind me. I accepted it in the moment and never regretted it, even when things opened up again. Yes it was hard letting the YT thing go for a bit but always knew I’d be back. That was the fuel that kept me going. I’m planning another long walk for next month and if I’m honest I won’t be doing a vid per month again. I want to tell the full story, can’t be doing with chopping into sections, pt1 and pt2. I will try to keep the time down to around 40mins but if it goes longer so be it. I’m not into numbers and following the norm so I just don’t care about the channel growing. Most of my subscribers seem to enjoy a more laid back gentle walk and it suits me as well. Thanks again Karl really appreciate you and your encouraging words. Cheers.

You've captured some memorable images there. The only place I didn't see was Winspit Quarry but perhaps it was too crowded. Last time I was there they were filming for the latest Star Wars movie. I couldn't do that kind of walk because I would keep getting stuck in the pubs.

I always knew I'd be back at some point, never wanted or needed a break but 2020 threw a spanner in the works and messed things up for us all. I just went back into full time work, foolishly got myself into a two year deal and it's been work work and no freedom for two full years. That's now finished and I'm back to pre 2020 hours again so plenty of freedom and adventure to come from this channel moving forward, and loads of plans. Thanks guys.

Thank you James, it just goes to show that where there is will then there is absolutely a way. The pack was reasonably light, a comfy weight and one that you grow into, the camera was in my hand most of the time so that didn't add to the weight of the pack, the spare batteries and power pack I added to pockets, again not adding to the pack. Filming an area like this though, with such beautiful weather and at the perfect time of year became an obsession, filling my mind and and heart with nothing but joy. The people that chat along the path all had that same infectious energy, just glad to be there. The effort is so worth it as nothing worth while comes easy. Thanks again my friend.

Morning Jon, lovely to hear from you. I'm very well and really enjoying my return to semi retirement thank you. At the moment I'm in Wiltshire with the kids enjoying the most beautiful thatch cottage for the week. This area is stunning, sadly way too hot for a big old walk as I'd hoped to achieve this week but no bother. Time to relax and see the young ones running around with there Mum and Dad chilling out is beautiful to see. There is now plenty of time out to plan more walks when the weather cools a bit. Wiltshire always seemed a bit obvious to me, with the very famous circles but now that I'm here and seeing all the other sites of antiquity my imagination is in overdrive, so it's time for me to explore this strange and mysterious county.
Hope you are well my friend, stepping away from the social media is a really good thing. I now only have this channel, all other meaningless media has gone for me. Not even a TV...thankfully. Turning my focus now to family and living a more simple life closer to nature and the important stuff. Thank you Jon, always a treat to hear from you and I'll have something new uploaded very soon, until then take care. Jim.

It always amazes me Andrew, the amount of wildlife around us. I've been after a decent camera for ages, one that can get me closer to the birds etc, and it's enhanced my walks enormously, keeping a keen eye on what's around each corner not only focuses the mind but distracts from the sore feet and knees. This is the type of video I want to do moving forward, maybe not as long but one that captures the essence of the area and showcases the history and wildlife. Thank you Andrew and take care.

Thank you David, had I got to old Harry an hour later I could have filmed the para's jumping out of the plane and being rescued by the SBS, kinda kicked myself when I found out what was happening but at the end of the day not much else escaped my lens. The steam train runs every hour so knew I'd catch that from the ridge. A truly beautiful area that feels like home to me now, like the back of my hand. Loved it out there and will be back later this year to check out north of the ridge. Cheers David.

I was stuck on 80m from the first edit, man that is just too long. It needed to flow and I'm happy with the result now. Really appreciate you being here Mark, thank you.

At over 600 miles there are so many fantastic sections. England's best walk, maybe the longest and one I hope to complete one day. This was my last section in Dorset and it was special. Loved how quiet it was down there, loads of wild life and no people. Thank you Jay, appreciate you watching.

Hiya Dave, so sorry to hear about your Dad. Life can seem so cruel at times. My Dad lives up north from me and was admitted to an Alzheimer's unit at the start of 2020 and none of us could go and see him, even now we have to jump through several hoops to get in. Broke my heart earlier this year as he was gone, no recollection at all. He was happy in his own world and the staff were great so in a way I have to let him go. Life gives us many challenges for sure. My mind set is to face everything head on but only in the moment, each day as it comes, not thinking too far ahead. Being present is not only good for us but for those around us, sounds cheesy but it works for me. Stops the anxiety creeping in when over thinking is going on. Hope all works out for you Dave, your Dad is so lucky to have you with him at this time. Take care my friend.

Hiya Kelly, I was aware of the pub. Most of the hikers I spoke to on the path were heading there but for me just wanted to stick with the path. The caves I did see and filmed quite a bit but something had to give in the edit so that whole section i may upload at some point. Poole Harbour just looked odd to me, kinda got my imagination going. In my minds eye I could see that back in the day something huge happened like a tsunami wave pushing all the shingle up on Chesil beach before breaking the chalk sea wall through and flooding the whole area. I imagined the water pouring back through the gap where the Castle is and rushing over the land before going back out at Swanage. We are told it was a drip drip effect over millions of years but I kinda think it was a single event and one that is still recovering from. Just thinking out loud that's all and a walk like this does it for me. Carrying all the gear and setting out on an adventure like this is a wonderful thing, changes who we are, only subtle change but it's there and I would recommend it to all who think, " I couldn't do that" well I think most could if the will is there. Thanks Kelly really hope you can turn your dreams into a reality. Take care.

It's a bugger really as it affects the rhythm of the walk and steals the attention away. Even so, the best walk so far and I'm going back to explore north of the ridge. Really fancy doing a river walk down into Poole harbour and have a closer look at Wareham. I was told it was the SBS I just got it wrong in the moment, sorry I missed the Parra's but seeing the big old plane was quite a sight in it's self. Thanks for watching.

Yes there is a sign up that states No entry between March and October. I ignored it but stayed off the top walking closer to the sea. Nobody saw me apart from the fishermen that come over the Fleet in rowing boats, they didn't care so you should be good to go Karl. There is a section though that crosses the firing range, you would need to check that before you go as the military would be on the bank to stop you. Good luck, it's a real challenge but proper worth it if it's solitude and total peace you are after. Cheers mate.

Purbeck Isles, the silent sentinels ,battlements and buttresses , windblown witness, to ten thousand sunrises. An underlay of gently waving bluebells beneath a dwarf Oaks knowing gaze, a village full of broken promise and , all the while ,shadows of clouds drift upon a maiden breeze. Awesome Scott, you never let me down my friend. The bluebells got me big time as it was only a few weeks from my reccy up there when it was grey windy and no sign of spring, a proper Wow moment. Kinda had a hunch it was a Bluebell wood but never to that extent. The whole walk was like that with an energy that drove me on. The highlight has to be to Falcon, to see it either side of my camp got me thinking. What are the chances, It had to be the same one and I must have camped under the nest, I know this as I woke to a load of bird watchers with binoculars stood back in a hark all looking down at me when i crawled out my tent, I could here them chat, that's what woke me. Freaked me out as I hadn't seen the "high speed Executioner" again at that point. I thought they had a problem with me camping but then I heard that familiar shreek again and the penney dropped. Clearly it had just had it's breakfast with all the down feathers still stuck to it's claws. I felt blessed but too close so was happy to move on. A beautiful walk and experience that I wanted to do justice in the video, armed with three cameras and the drone and blessed with the weather I couldn't fail. So pleased it's gone down well as the length was a worry but you guys are good to me and I really appreciate every one of you. Thank you Scott for your beautiful verse.
