You surpassed you’re expectations. The install looks professionally done. Clean and space-saving. Well done brother. 👍🏼
Thanks Dom, I appreciate the kind words 🙏🙏🙏
Appreciate your well documented write up. Will definitely take some of your ideas to put towards my project. Keep up the good work!
Cheers 🍻 Thank you
Pretty sweet dude just ordered.Mine should be here in a few weeks. It's going on in Mercedes c.L little skeptical about putting the tank on the deck lid though
I respect the hard work geeat video
Cheers 🍻 Thanks man
You basically helped me understand this thing better than anyone else as well
That is all I could ask for and the main reason for actually starting this UA-cam channel.
this is awesome.. i rushed my install haha instantly regretting it seeing this
I rushed my first install as well and learned my lesson. 2nd round was definitely night and day better
Awesome setup. I"m just getting into Air and this is a really nice install. I know I'm late but had to comment.
Cheers 🍻
Old videos but these are going to help me when I install my airlift kit
Super informative
Thanks 👍
Glad I could help you out still, the main reason for making these videos. 👍🏻👍🏻
Super clean set up
Thank you 🙏
Thank you sir!!
You are very welcome 🙏
If I ever get bags, I’m coming to you for install 😅🙌. Awesome work man, looks great!
How bout if you ever get bags, I’ll come down to you and help you install them where it’s much warmer 😉😉
Fire set up dude
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate that
That’s clean man. Good job
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate that.
Where did you run the EX line to? Ca t make it out going to start pulling my old set up and using your plumping set up way clean and very thought through for emergency lol
I just watched your video and had some questions? I wondered where did you put the control valve??? To make the rear drop at the same speed at the front. Your video helped a lot
The valves were put on the lines going to the rear bags.
@@HQGARAGE so I am running 3/8 line system to the 1/4 line off of the struts and bags. And the reason for this is I want the lift and lower to be faster. Now at first I was thinking that I was supposed to put the flow valve to the rear bags so that the fronts would drop at the same speed as the rear. I thought to restrict the flow in the rear will make the whole car drop at the same time. But you put them on the front lines and now I’m confused. Could you please give an explanation so that it makes sense to me??? I’m just learning and want to know more that’s why all the questions
I appologize, I confused myself. The valves went on the rear lines because those lines were so much shorter than the front lines. Which slowed the air coming out and going in so it would air up and down at the same speed as the front
@@HQGARAGE thank you so much. You don’t know how much this is helping me. Appreciate everything
Another way to level the dump without any additional hardware would be to have the EQUAL LENGHT of lines all around. Just have the rears rolled upped in a large circle or even cross sides and tucked away. That's all.
What I feel AIR RIDE Perf should do with the manifold. Is have a mixxed mani. 3/8" port (2ea) & 1/4"(2ea). Depending where you set up is the shorter side would have the smaller hoses for dumping. I hope I made sense.
....ps Watched your entire set up and love your work. Quality stuff!!🧤🤍🖤
I agree with the equal length lines, I think that would also be more reliable and 1 less location for leaks. I think that would be smart of Airlift to do with the manifold.
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate the kind words.
Thank you! Definitely the best video I've seen on UA-cam about air suspension setup. Learned many new things and didn't have to listen about the weather, dogs, car problems, ongoing projects etc, only the useful info!
Thank you 😊 I appreciate the feedback.
Set up is so clean! You mind telling me me what size t-bolt clamps those are?
this was an awesome build, much respect
Thank you 🙏 I truly appreciate that
Love the trunk layout and the use of the hardline feeders 👍 ordered my kit for my widebody challenger last week 😬
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate that. That is going to be so sick 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hell of a job 👍🏽
Thank you 🙏
Ohman, what a job well done. Nice work bro! I’m impress with your work❤
Thank you 🙏 I put a lot of thought and dedication to this install
@@HQGARAGEdo you have the link for the “quick dump valve?”
Yup 👍🏻 here you go amzn.to/3yGUkle
@@HQGARAGE how did you connect it, to the T ?
With the lines that come off the compressors and a PTC fitting for the Airline to the manifold
That was some great work 👏 👏👏👍I'm leaning towards an air setup🤔
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate that. You would definitely not regret it.
By the way I love the setup nicely done ✔
Thank you for the quick response. I also like that you ran the 2 compressors to the 2 fitting into 1 line. How has that been working for you? I see your running the bigger airline I’m running the 1/4 line do you think it would be smart to do it still?
Ya you could definitely run both compressors into 1 airline it will just take a little longer for the air to flow through because of the smaller passage
The setup looks good! I think im going to try and do something similar on my car, but I was hoping you could give me a bit of clarification regarding the clamps you used. I see in the video description that you have an amazon link to 6" clamps, i was curious are those 6" in diameter, or is the clamp itself 6" around? Its a dumb question I know haha, but I just want to be sure the clamp is sufficient enough to use so I dont have to deal with returning them 😅 thanks in advance for your help!
Love this video, I'm going to be doing a similar tank mounting on my Q50 I appreciate you leaving the links in the description. I can't wait to get into this, this will be my first time going on air.
Congrats on going air, you are going to love it. Just take your time on installing it and you will have little to no issues.
@@HQGARAGE Super excited. Going with the 3H kit. I'm an OCD maniac so this project seems right up my alley 😂
@@HQGARAGE what brass unions are those that you used to join to hard line and flex line?
amzn.to/3v6Ggyf
Use those ones I actually changed out the brass ones for these as I found the brass ones leaked.
So where does the 3/8 Control Valve mount? Do you mount onto the air tank? I'm planning on purchasing the Control Valve soon. Coz I want my air bags to air out at the same like yours. Thank you. I'm glad your video popped up on my you tube. I already hit subscribe.
The control valve goes on each rear airline so it controls the air going in and out of the rear bags so it airs out level.
@@HQGARAGE so to be correct i need to buy 2 valves. 1 for each line in the rear?
Yup that is correct
Sweet setup. Wanna bag my 14 gt mustang but don't know the tire size and rim size that will fit.
That is definitely one of the most challenging parts. Thankfully I worked with Vossen and they helped me with my specs. Most wheel manufacturers know what will work or you can also go to Fitment industries and look at other rides like yours and see what their specs are.
Thank you sir.
Good job man
Thanks Man 🙏🙏
Is there any special line prep to the ends of the hardline before running them into the PTC fittings? I am running the nickel/copper line.
Just make sure they are de-burred and clean from any grease or contamination
Does the t fitting connected to the compressors and running to a single 3/8 line fill the tank up slower?
Not that I have found, I have had it setup both ways and it seems pretty quick to be honest
@@HQGARAGE Thanks man
I am installing a 3p on my Mustang. I like the way you set yours up. Can I get all those extra fittings from Airlift performance?
Most of them I believe so, i believe you can also get them from eBay, Amazon, or even like bag riders.
You didn’t show connecting the power in confused, do you have a battery in the trunk?
Yes that is correct. The BMW has a battery in the trunk
Does the bottom cover make contact with the compressors? If so. Doesn’t the compressor get really hot? Im installing my airlift but I’m very limited to trunk space. I want to do similar set up with hiding them down there but the compressors are a tab taller
Question did you end up running into any issues with the check valves or popping fuses with the compressors running in parallel like that? Moved my compressors to my spare compartment and instead of having each compressor go into a different port I did something very similar with the t valve but now I end up popping a fuse after I air up and the compressors pop on a second time after the initial start
Nope I can say I did not have any issue with popping fuses or anything.
Very clean setup ! 👍Why you are using hardlines instead for plastic lines which comes with airlift kit? Is it only for the clean look or it is some other reasons? I'm also wondering who is selling that fitting with pressure regulating for the back? I need theese also 😊
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate that, the hardliners are just for show no other purpose at all. The pressure regulators I got from here. amzn.to/2Qvw82u hope that helps.
@@HQGARAGE oh yes, link helps very much 🙂 By the way, how it's going with your airlift managment? After you finished instal and calibrating, had you any isues untinl now? 🙂
I haven’t had any issues and everything is working incredible and it’s amazing. Not gonna lie being my second car on air and it’s still my fav mod hands down
Been awhile my friend. Thanks for all the updates. I do learn from your videos. Like I mentioned before it was your videos that I was able to put mines together.
I’m needing to add air control valves soon to adjust the raise and drop to even out.
Which directions did you install the air control valves? Or does it matter? Do they face towards the bags or manifold?
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate the feedback and am glad you attempted it yourself. Looking forward to hear how the air control valves worked out for you.
So you have to run a seperate line for each bag?
With airlift yes that is correct
Awesome job Bro! 1 question, where can I get or find or would you be in the business of making and selling aluminum base plates like urs for the the 3P manifold?
If you would like one send me a DM on Instagram or email jd10884@gmail.com and I will get you one.
@@HQGARAGE I sent you a DM
😍👍
is it true that hardline are not reliable? I am thinking of floating my tank i have a hatchback so if I mount it to my rear back seats i wont be able to put them down. what do suggest?
Hardliners are reliable when installed correctly. I think a hatchback is tough. Most guys put it under the floor or just behind the seat attached to the floor
That "T" fitting you hooked up from your compressors, how is that working out for you and where can I find those?
That ‘T’ fitting is working brilliant and still fills the tank quite fast. You can get the T here amzn.to/3iCFovV
Or at your local race shop or place that sells airline fittings for big rigs.
Hey quick question did you use the second compressor harness or did you run them both into the first harness together?
I have always used a second compressor harness. Mostly for a fail safe so I always knew at least 1 compressor would work.
Hey love the set up, my question is what is the fitting that you used that converts the hard line to the soft line I can’t seem to find it thank you for the video learned alot
Hey Chris, thanks for the comments. I actually took the brass fittings off since they leaked and replaced them with these ones.
amzn.to/3v6Ggyf
@@HQGARAGE hello! have those new fittings leaked at all since?
Nope I have not had any issues since.
@@HQGARAGE awesome, thanks a lot!
With those fittings you just push the tube/soft line into it and it’ll grip it? Do I need to use Teflon at all with these connectors?
Do you have second harness for the second compressor?
I did but no longer have it anymore
Just emailed you guys for a quote to installed for a 2021 accord sport
I am not a shop to do custom installs. I only work on my own stuff. Sorry bro
Air control valve? Where do I get those?
You can get them here amzn.to/3Usuk6O
Hey buddy quick question I have the air compressor where my spare tire goes out will it heat up and mess up when it turns on while it's covered underneath?
So did u read the question ?
Hey 👋 no I don’t think you will have to worry about it getting too hot and messing up. They get warm but as long as you aren’t airing out and airing up over and over again where the compressor doesn’t stop running you will be totally fine
@@HQGARAGE awesome thank u so much I appreciate it God bless have a good day
What size are the t bar clamps ?
I cannot remember now but I will see if I can find my original order
where did you get the quick dump?
That came with the airlift performance kit
Following Airlift installation instruction, you shouldnt mount managment this way..?
Ideally they recommend it laying flat but having it mounted with the airlines pointed down is acceptable. You cannot have it mounted with the connector and airlines pointed up. If you go to page 10 fig.12 of the instruction manual it gives you a diagram of the mounting of the manifold.
