Your tutorials are so amazing!!! This is exactly what I've been looking to make and you finally helped me put it into action after almost a week of trying and failing myself, thank you!
DIdn't know nothing about modular and started with vcv rack this week. Your videos are helping me learn a lot about the possibilities of vcv rack. Thank you!
I've been head down in a programming tizzy each night this week working on a reverse delay module that keeps clicking, and it's driving me crazy. I needed to swear off programming at night and do something restorative. Following along with this is just the kind of thing I needed. Thanks, as always, for making these.
It was great to see you on the Colorado Modular Synth Society recently!!! That was another degree in bringing the circle, full circle for me. Long time fan.
These are so good. I find out so many new modules from these. I've known about Simpliciter for a while, but today I was ready to absorb what it can do for me. I'd not seen the Countdown in use before though. Very useful. Now to go and play with them ...
First, I begun to dig exploring the VCV rack... there are cool tutorials and stuff in the YT, but your channel just blows the mind really, I need learn 1% of your knowledge, Im on the way! /Sub xD
@@OmriCohen-Music errartic beharbiour.. sometimes the fades wont stop so the sequence of event holts while one event comtinues running. And no, it's not a mistake on my part. I redo the patch several times. there is also a need of a panic button.
@@andres.hidalgo.a seems like this behavior is caused by the fades not stopping properly. I managed to fix it by using boolean logic on the CTRL inputs of the fade modules and the reset inputs of the countdown modules, ANDing the Manual Gate - Trigger Output with the Fade - Gate Output to reset the timing logic if the manual gate button is pressed.
Thanks! That's the MindMeld mixer and Auxspender, with a send reverb (Plateau). That's my basic setup for most videos. If you download the patch, you can see exactly how it's set up.
It sometimes cracks when I run the patch, the cpu load goes over 500 percent. Imac 2019 32 gb Ram 6 core Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB. What could be the reason for this?
i get the same stuff on some devices, but sometimes with a lot of cpu intensive modules (big mixers, multiple reverb and delays etc) it doesn't matter. even on my 2021 m1 studio pro i get cracks on patches with more than 60~ modules
You can try reducing the sampel rate and increasing the buffer. my next step would be remove/replace the "Simpliciter" part because that thing eats performance.
I'm not so sure... The Wavetable voice can be quite heavy so try and remove it and see if it helps. Also, try reducing the frame rate under the View menu. Something around 30 should be enough.
Dumbish question? Instead of sending start/stop schedules to the mixer before sending them to the Fade modules could you just run a cable from the start and stop to the fade separately and stack the plugs? Is it just a cable management trick or is there a reason to use the mixer I'm not comprehending?
@@OmriCohen-Music yeah, ignore my mistake. I was thinking you could stack cables the same wyas you can plug multiple into a single source. Didn't realize that only worked on one end. I'm dumb and new.

This was great as always thanks for showing us how you think and build these great patches. And thanks for sharing them
Glad you enjoyed!
pow! needed a generative sound for a cinematic clip. This is just perfect for my old hardware specs,

I got up to the first counter and then I got lost. So interesting though. I need to learn a lot!
Thank you so much for this Omri! I'm just returning to VCV after a long hiatus (my pc died heh). I'm sure this video will be helpful.
I appreciate it :) Have fun!

great work however I encounter problems with the behavior of various modules: fm op, seq 3 and fade to beggin...
Thanks! What problems do you encounter? Maybe I can help

What do you mean by stack them? You can only send one cable to an input, so there's a need to mix things.
