guys, this is a record for a street car, a GT3 Racecar ist not a street car, a Zonda R is not a street car.

just look it up, ich denke mal du bist deutsch sonst würdest du das kaum sagen. ich hab bei auto motor sport die rundenzeiten nachgeguckt und laut denen schafft ein normaler e92 die nordschleife in 8,05. dafür muss ich da nicht hin.

Very difficult track in many racing games, but how they do that IRL!?!?!?!?
They probably destroys a bunch of cars and pay lots of money to master it the old fashioned way.
I belive that racing games are in some way more difficult then the reality.
Because you don't have any feedback apart from force-feedback-steeringwheels.
Furthermore those games can hardly implement the character of a car into a game, for example the rear wheel steering, weight balance and more.
Neverless, in a game you can drive like a maniac without any danger, I reality you need to be carefull.
lol every time i drive the 918 spyder in assetto corsa Nordschleife , i always lawn mowing the track or sometimes reshaping the the track lol.
918 in AC is awful. As I watch in this video this car drives much better than in AC, because Lieb's speed in corners is much higher than you can do in AC.

The start and finish line are not in the same place ;). I guess its because races on the Nordschleife inlude the GP track. The start line is where the cars enter the Nordschleife and the finish line is where the cars enter the GP track.
Much respect, Porsche. Congratulations on the record, and for taking hybrid technology to new heights. Looks like you and Ferrari are going to make going fast and being fuel efficient a very cool thing.

For what I can understand the starting line is located just before the first turn and that is located aprox. 5 seconds later than the finish line. So in other words it is never a full lap. Just seen the Lotus exige s v6 set a best time of 7.53mins and the time starts 5 seconds late there as well so..... but dont ask me why mate!

First was underster, then overster. Mark loses grip at front axle cause bumps/higher speed. He have turned wheels and wait for traction, when traction back on front axle, rear wheels slip couse it was rapid move, and Mark drives on edge of grip so it need to be rly precise. Every small mistakes, mostly happen cause to much speed.

Just after 4.30 he was nearly 150mph into a wall. This is crazy fast. Get a few racing drivers together give them a hypercar and lets see who can do the fastest lap.

Official record holder is Stefan Bellof (R.I.P.) with 6:25,91 min on Porsche 956 C.
Initially I thought the same but there's two or three reasons to explain this. First - check the speed! The video looks way slower than reality, when you check the speedo in some key corners you'll realize. Second the steering ratio isn't the same as in for example the Radical, that's why it looks like he needs to steer way more to get the corners. Third - if you're used to Nords by playing racing sims you're probably used to cars with more downforce cornering more easy than the 918. Great vid!!

Tough decision between this and the P1. I think I'd probably go for the P1. It's just cooler for some reason. It looks like something out of a Riddick movie.
Yeah, BUT the P1 has more power than the 918. Moreover the 918 produces much less CO2-emissions than a P1 (i know that's not the point of a hypercar). If they wouldn't care that much on the CO2-emissions Porsche could easily produce a faster car than the P1. In this way the P1 may be a little bit "old-fashioned" (even if it's a hybrid) in comparison to the 918. But yes (sadly), the P1 may be faster around the Track.

ToerklinTV on what we already know the porsche is faster than the p1, the p1 did a 7:04 on the NOS first run, and a 6:47 with slicks (both inofficially).
the 918 brakes faster, accelerates faster out of corners because of awd, torque vectoring and all wheel steering, the p1 is just better at static cornering and acceleration above 120mph... funny thing, that the 918 weissach already did an 18.5 to 300kph whereas the p1 couldn't prove its 16.5 official estimated time.
And Mark Webber who just won the Nurbergring 6 Hour WEC race for Porsche in the 919 Hybrid has just got one of these for his very recent Birthday, this car needs a serious driver, and he is one!!

Macht mal zwei Fenster auf und vergleicht diese Runde mit den 6:56 des neuen GT3 RS. Der 918 Spyder fährt dem GT3 auf der ersten Hälfte der Strecke komplett davon! Würden die nebeneinander fahren würde der GT3 den 918 komplett aus den Augen verlieren. Auf der zweiten Hälfte der Strecke kommt ein Abschnitt, relativ kurz, da holt der GT3 RS alles auf binnen etwa 2 Minuten.Auf die lange Gerade am Ende biegen sie gleichzeitig ein. Der 918 schafft es da nicht dem GT3 RS davon zu fahren. mit 350 PS mehr??? Was ist da los. In den letzten 3 Kurven holt der GT3 RS dann noch die letzte Sekunde Vorsprung raus.
Es ist als ob der 918 Spyder am Ende hin nicht mehr alles gegeben hätte. Ich meine da müsste eine wesentlich bessere Zeit drin stecken in die Region von GT2 RS / Aventador SVJ.
Das der GT3 am ende so aufhohlt kann einmal daran liegen, dass der GT3 in den schnellen Kurven der zweiten Hälfte der Strecke schneller ist wegen dem Abtrieb der 918 hat halt nicht so viele Spoiler und Finnen, Luftleitbläche etc. Es kann aber auch an der Batterieleistung des 918 liegen und zwar das sie am Ende der Runde einfach leer sind bzw. nur noch wenig leistung bringen können und der 918 einfach nicht mehr die volle Leistung hat. Der "Hotlap Modus" ist ja warscheinlich nicht auf eine 7 minuten Runde ausgelegt.
It’s due to the fact that batteries are empty after half of the track. 918 has just 7kw/h batteries that in the track-mode are (and cannot be) not recharged at the speed they are emptied. In the last straight it is going just on n/a engine (with couple of hundred kgs “hybrid system balast)” and had difficulties to reach even 300km/h.

Ist ja ein Hybrid. Bei Vollgas sind beide Motoren aktiv.
Außerdem kann man im "Race" Modus nicht rein elektrisch fahren. Der E-Motor wird nur geladen wenn man bremst und rollt. Aber wenn du dir den Wagen kaufst und elektrisch fahren möchtest kann ich dir den "Eco" Modus empfehlen ;-)
