Does this process require you to be logged into itunes as your account or just use itunes in general? I am working with my fathers Ipad pro and unfortunately he has passed away. I do have his password for icloud and apple accounts but just have itunes on my personal laptop (since his imac is big sur) and would rather avoid logging or unlogging things unecessarily on that laptop. Thanks for any advice.
You just use iTunes in general. No need to log into iTunes.

You glossed over having put in icloud password, why is that the one thing you didn't talk about . Some people wouldn't know they gotta do that until it pops up only after resetting device

Hello so I've been devastated because of my iPad pro that I recently got, I didn't have an apple ID and wanted to create one and so did, I created a password but then my mom suddenlytold me I needed to put my brothers ID so it would be easier it was too late and needed to go somewhere, I came back and I see that I needed to unlock my iPad and so I did, I confidently typed I my password but it didnt work, I panicked as it was a simple password (for me) and tried and tried I began getting doubt, I didn't even went to the homescreen yet and access apps it still says "Hello" and the
