    Steps to Use Google My Maps
    View Data Table
    Click on layer options and select Open Data Table.
    You can navigate and edit records directly from the data table.
    Search and Select Records
    Use the search function to find specific records (e.g., search for "homicide").
    Hover over and select records to see them highlighted on the map.
    Edit Records
    Click on a record in the data table to edit its values.
    Add New Data Row
    Click Add Row to create a new entry in the data table.
    Enter the details for the new data point.
    Replace with Marker
    Right-click at the edge of a row and select Replace with Marker.
    Click on the map to place the new marker for the selected record.
    Fill out the details and click Save.
    Enhance Data Points
    Add images or videos to data points.
    Style data points or get directions to them.
    Delete data points if necessary.
    Save and Name Your Map
    Click at the top to save your map project.
    Name your map (e.g., "Baltimore Crime Map July 2024") and add a description.
    Preview and Share Map
    Click Preview to see how the map will look when shared.
    Use the Share function to generate a link to share the map with others.
