Love your videos ,great content please keep it up …greatly appreciate your tips and sharing your passion…we will be moving up from the San Francisco Bay Area , as our son is being stationed at JBLM 1st group and we will be moving to the Olympia area to be closer and we are hoping to start fishing and exploring your amazing state ….thank you
I want to try out shrimpin for coonstripe shrimp this year but their is very little info out there compared to spot prawns. Are you fishing the same areas as spot prawns, but just in shallower water?
Ya home launch. 135-150 is what I try try set at. Tips are be prepared to stay out all day and keep searching. I strike out more than I succeed. These shrimp move around. I could send you to this exact location and they will be gone the following day. I love this spot but it only hits every 5-6 times I try. Main think is keep working the shorelines at 135-150 and you will find them. On this day I covered 3-4 miles until I landed on big numbers.
Love your videos, i’ve always wanted to do some coonstripe shrimping too but always struck out in my area 8-2. If you have some tips or some reference locations it would be much appreciated! Thank you and happy shrimping!
Right in front of onamac point in 150ft. I know for a fact they are there. Run a trailing bouy and zip tie bricks in the pot from Home Depot. The grey bricks. Anything clams will trigger the shrimp
Really cool video. You're supposed to have your daughter in a life jacket no exceptions!
You got that right!
Totally agree 👍
Looked like your little "captain in training" had the supervising of the crew part down pat...😉
thanks for posting...
That’s right. We set a couple pots when she said drop and they were loaded
Oh I didn't forget. I'm just reallll bad at finding them! Great catching!
Same here haha. This day was great catching but most are tough like you said. I struggle more than half the trips out.

Have you had more success on flat bottom or slope?
Right in between. I try to set where it transitions to deep fast
Awesome!
Been trying to figure those little guys out. Nice shots at the end, our home launch. Are you local to the launch too?
Any tips on depth?

Awesome thanks for the tip. Were moored down there. Maybe we'll see you out there.
MA13?
Check the regs but I think coonshrimp are open in most pugetsound marine areas.
You can find them everywhere, at night you can even catch them from piers
