  • Hull City reached The FA Cup Semi-Final with a 3-0 victory against Sunderland at KC Stadium.
Steve Bruce's men triumphed over his former club thanks to second-half goals from Curtis Davis, David Meyler and Matty Fryatt.
Hull's Sone Aluko also saw a first-half penalty saved by Oscar Ustari, but it didn't stop the home side from booking their place at Wembley
Sunderland boss Gus Poyet made six changes to his League Cup final line-up from seven days earlier, including a rare start for Argentinian striker Ignacio Scocco.
Bruce's men, keen to atone for their 4-1 humbling by Newcastle United, started well and hit the top of the woodwork with a cross-shot from Maynor Figueroa after just three minutes.
The visitors' chances were few and far between, Scocco spooning a Phil Bardsley cross over the bar in the 19th minute as Hull - weakened by the absence of Cup-tied pair Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long - dominated despite a lack of cutting edge.
Sebastian Larsson's foul on Aluko gave the Tigers the chance to go ahead from the spot but Ustari guessed right and dived low to his right to gather the weak spot-kick.
Towards the end of the first half, Ustari was down again to stop another Aluko chance.
But then came the visitors' second-half collapse, starting with John O'Shea's foul on Fryatt on the right flank.
It presented the set-piece from which Tom Huddlestone's inch-perfect delivery found the head of Davies and he guided back across goal and into the corner of Ustari's net.
Four minutes later, George Boyd's long ball deceived Lee Cattermole and gave Meyler a clear run on goal. The former Sunderland man providing a sweet left-foot finish to double the advantage.
And Sunderland's misery was complete on 75 minutes when Cattermole's bad back pass went straight to Fryatt who picked his spot and sealed the Tigers' trip to Wembley.
