i was randomly looking at who played on some taylor swift song so i wanted to see some videos of yours. you actually remind me of myself if i may say. your love of fat weight backbeat brings joy to the world. this page of mine has nothing on it but if you type my name in youtube search you will see a bunch of my stuff. ur fb doesnt allow more friends so i had to cry (;
I’m not a country fan but UA-cam has been taking me in that direction. Honestly, I feel like country is very forgiving and almost allows things to be timeless. I would have gone with some 16th on the hats or shakers. It feels like it needs something to push it. All good. Nice to hear other things that are not my norm. I’d like you to throw drums on one of my tracks. I’ve been creeping closer to country these days although my lyrics are more like public enemy….lol
I get where you're coming from, but the things about the country genre are sometimes in the subtleties.. You have to make space for the vocal. I think 16th might have been cool on this, but since this is essentially a guitar/vocal, i need to allow for whatever else they're going to add to the song afterwards. That 16th vibe could always be gotten from a shaker later on. I'd be happy to play on a track of yours. Nobody's done the country PE approach yet! My email is nick@nickbuda.com
Awesome stuff! I'm really digging all of your videos! Is there any processing on the drums in this video? If so, do you normally put any eq or compression on your tracks when you send them to clients?
Nikao.. I'm sorry this has taken 3 years to reply to.. Thanks for the kind words. I don't effect the sounds at all.. a little eq on the kick and snare and that's about it. I try and leave as many options open for whomever i'm recording for. I'll be much faster about replying from now
Thanks so much!! That's an old Pork Pie kit that I've had forever. The N&C kit is a custom color that they did for me. You should get in touch with them and ask them what it is. It's beautiful!
Something bout that kick and snare.. very good feel and timing..amazing 👍
"...and that was my first take of that."

You are badass, Nick!
Elympic Records You’re very kind.. thanks!
Hey I'm big fun of your work,groove and sound.
Could you give me the information bout your instruments and sound make?
Sweet! Could you tell me the size and type of the main crash, and what snare was used? I also dig the kick drum sound.
Sure thing Ati.. The crash is a 19" Sabian HHX X-Treme and the snare is a 5x14 black beauty
Thanks a lot, Nick! I hope we can see more of this type of videos from you in the future.

Great video series. What drum kit is this one? Just watched your N&C video (btw, what color is your Noble & Cooley Horizon kit?).
