In this video, I cover the basics of installing ped replacements. This SWAT themed replacement will see 2 peds added to give our SWAT backup a more modern and realistic look. Additionally, I cover how to install the Lenco Bearcat to replace the default NOOSE Riot Van.

@ZiephereT this vehicle is a replace, so to uninstall it, you just need to remove the files from where you've put them and un-do any changes you've made to any meta files

@ZiephereT as an FYI, this vehicle has a known issue/fix. If you just install the vehicle/meta files as is, it will spawn in game, but then crash if you try to get inside it. The fix is linked in the description
I did this now I get a social club error code every time I launch it I replaced the ped first but I didn't do the optional colour stuff because after all it is meant to be optional but now I can't play GTA. HELP
when I'm in Blaine county and I call for swat backup it gives me the LAPD but I thought it would give me the sheriff?
i put everything in the right thingy and the Swat ped does not work
ok so when i call for backup and i want backup from SWAT the original sheriffs come idk what to do now lol

I followed every step precisely but for some reason now my game keeps crashing, I reverted the files to the original ones but it still keeps crashing, anyone got a solution?

My swat ped wont work it only loads in the vanilla version do you know what I should do?
Double check that you properly installed the ped in the location I used in this video. If the old ped still loads, install it instead to this location:
mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday22ng *or* patchday24ng\dlc.rpf\x64\models\cdimages\peds\patchday22ng.rpf *or* patchday24ng\

grammar police doesn’t work with the swat ped replacement but if I go into the ultimate backup menu and press on code 3 swat unit back up the swat ped replacement actually shows up
Not sure why. All it's doing is calling the SWAT ped, which you have replaced. You can try asking in ULSS. Again, make sure that you properly replaced the ped and that it spawns properly because logically that makes no sense. One would overwrite the other. They cant both exist
@@the_competent_gamer9454 It’s weird there’s vanilla and the swat ped replacement. If I say dispatch request in swat unit it spawns vanilla, but if I go into the ultimate back up menu and click the swat unit in there my multicam swat back up spawns. It’s also weird because I installed everything in the right place.

That's fine lol just wouldve been nice if these were in the same thread. I'm using Trainer V, also called Simple Trainer. And, no. You're saying would SHV work as if it's not a requirement. It is! and you need it for everything to work properly. Go back to my first LSPDFR tutorial to see where and how to get that.

(without sounding like a salty 3 year old) When ever I load into GTA 5 it just says game crashed, I didn't even enter any vehicle, or even moved. And I don't know how to do the fix you provided in the description. (I for some reason can't find vehicleseatinfo using Notepad++)

You'd have to look up the code for that, if it even exists. You should just use simple trainer

Of course! No problem. You dont have to do that *ONLY* if you have never edited those files to begin with.
The reason I did that is because not every vehicle meta pack is the same. Some mod authors include meta data just for the vehicle contained in that specific mod, others like this one, contain metadata for most cars in the game.
So if you never edited a meta file at all, you can just drag and drop the whole file into Open IV. However, if you then install another car pack that comes with a meta file with meta data for the same vehicles as the pack you previously installed, it will get overwritten.

You would have to install Simple Trainer. A link for it can be found in my first tutorial video
what if I just copied the x64e and not the x64 in my mods folder? I dont have enough gb :/
Unfortunately, you'll need to make space. The x64 folder has meta and data files for things in the update folder. You'll need them both to avoid data issues in your game
@@the_competent_gamer9454 I see the meta data file. Would it be dumb and experimenting if I can make a x64 folder with just the meta data file? Literally 16 gb of the x64 is just audio files which I have no care for. Also tysm for the fast response. you've def earned yourself a sub with the clear and easy to understand tutorial
@@JustKaga it may work. You can give it a try, only bring in the data files you need, but it may get confusing and limiting in the long run. Give it a shot and see how it works for you

Remove the vehicle files you installed and if you edited any meta files, replace them with the backups you made.

If I call Swat from Ultimate backup it wont show up, but If i call Noose the bearcat with moded peds will. Atleast that is a good thing, but I wonder why Swat is broken now
That's because by default, Swat calls upon the vehicle file FBI2, the black suv. You'll beed to manually make the change in the xml file to spawn the right vehicle.
@@the_competent_gamer9454 and which xml file do I have to change exactly? Oh btw the vehicles (moded) meant for swat were constantly spawning at a specific location without any peds
@markolippmaa9567 i forget off the top of my head, but if you look at Ultimate Backup's files, it's the xml file with all the local, state, swat backup entries.
@@the_competent_gamer9454I guess it is SpecialUnits.xml? Other two are CustomRegion and DefaultRegion. I am not sure what should I change in here tho 😅

You should be able to just go into the mod file and select a different color YTD file.

This isnt an ELS vehicle so it should work normally. Make sure you're clicking E on the keyboard

Is this mod supposed to work for your swat back up, or is it just for you to wear and use just for yourself, because when I call in swat unit it spawns with vanilla swat
By default, it replaces the vanilla swat ped. So if you're still getting the vanilla swat ped, you might not have installed it correctly.
Personally, i have it set that Ultimate Backup calls on both peds i replaced, so that i get the black swat ped in the city and the green swat ped in the county.

@@sgt.greenbean4155 there's a secondary pathway available in the zip file readme if the one i used didnt work. Dont remember what it is off the top of my head

Bruh, u didnt even say the file name after i dragged and dropped the swat ped files, u just went, back to cdimages, and sm..... coundlt hear it despite my volume on my pc at 100% and my monitor volume at 100%, thanks.

@@Tactical_Nuke0 That crash is due to the vehicle layouts meta file being incomplete. The fix can be found in the description and is fairly straight forward.
Hinting back at your earlier comment, you make it seem as if you dont have SHV, which if you dont, will cause crashes, so install it.
