Air gap length size is very very small, hence will not make much difference in the result. (Engineers do not want to complicate life, unless it is Chandro Jatra)
Use a wooden core and eliminate the ritual air gaps. Wood has a higher permeability and will not saturate. And it's cheaper. I realize a magnetic core with an air gap is the sacred talisman of all "magnetic engineering" courses. When you buy a tire, do you saw it in half to prevent overinflation?
Hi Prof! I have a doubt. If the coil was in the middle, and just an air gap below it, then also in the middle. How to calculate the area of the cross section in this case?
You deposit 1000 Rupees in bank. The bank gives an increase of 5% after a month. How much be total now ? How do you calculate ? There are two ways; (1) you calculate the profit separately (5/100)*1000= 50 and then add it with 1000,so total is 1050. (2) second method is you multiply 1000x(105/100) = 1050
Crystal clear explanation sir 👏
Thanks dear. Best wishes
I really excited about this wonderful explanation of this example dear sir
So happy to learn that it helped you.
why didn't we subtract the air gap from the length of left and right leg?

Thank you so much dear sir..
So nice of you
Best explanation.🔥🔥🔥🔥
Glad you think so!
well explained sir thank you
Thanks dear. Best wishes.
I@@ElectricalEngineeringAcademy I just did well in my exam thanks to you.

Interesting idea. Share me your practical experience.
For l1, why are you including the 0.07cm air gap? Shouldn't that be subtracted from the 111cm?
Too small in comparison with 111cm, so no issue🤫
@@ElectricalEngineeringAcademy but it should be subtracted right?? how did you get your area i didn't get that one
@@thusegoraserati8750 Yes if you want to.
Good video
hello sir. i was wondering what book are u using ?
Electric Machinery Fundamentals Fourth Edition by Stephen J. Chapman
What is the name of this book ?
Electrical Machinery Fundamentals by Steven Chapman
this is from which book ???
Chapman
for the left air gap, shouldnt it be 7cm x 0.07cm = 0.49cm2 ,, then when we converted it to m2 = 0.000049m2 ,, but why ur answer is 0.0049m2
It is width x depth = 7cm x 7cm . You are looking at gap length.
Hi Prof!
I have a doubt.
If the coil was in the middle, and just an air gap below it, then also in the middle.
How to calculate the area of the cross section in this case?
Could u please mail me a snap shot of ur question ? profkhannazir@gmail.com
why you took 105/100 for taking 5 percent increase?

Why have you taken area as 7*7=49 I don't get it 😢😢
width is 7cm and depth is also 7cm ( written at the bottom right corner of the figure) so area =7x7 cm^2
