I personally think religion is an important part for all sane people. It keeps you grounded, humble and have faith about life in a positive aspect.
Nahh not really you can live a completely sane life without religion.
It's not like people who follow religion are all great human beings.

My notes/takeaways would read - spirituality helps him stay grounded and bring back his focus in the present rather than worrying about the past and being anxious about the future. Focus on his present performance and form is the most important factor for his line of work. Bringing the best foot forward each day is a key to his “success” (whatever that means to him or his part of the world)

Believing in or not believing in god is a matter of faith, faith thats more like to keep you humbled and grounded. Does it matter to anyone or does anyone even know that you believe in god until you tell them? It's all in your head, doing good for others or at least not do bad to someone is what people should focus on and not worry about whose god is best. Even if god created universe, in my small life I can never get to knowing that, I can have an unending faith and perhaps achieve sanity of my mind or I can irrespective of faith in god worry about making the world a better place! I'm pretty sure if there's god out there he'd want the latter one as well!
Prayer is not to demand things, the highest level of prayer is great-fullness towards god for existence and does not need any idols, thats how Vedic people worshipped in Himalayas.
These people were not ready for Nikhil's question!!!! He asked wrong philosophical questions to wrong people!
