Wow I have been watching your videos for very long time and it really helped me so much, thank you so much sir, I'm an upcoming gospel music minister and by watching you I'm now a better Singer, God bless you sir, Peter Abraham from Nigeria
The reason why that buzzword so contentious is exactly cause of this, it becomes so obnoxiouly counter-intuitive. Your larynx knows how to naturally open itself if u stopped thinking about it too much and relaxed, cause the more you think about it the more tension it adds.
Well the little s curve that you passed to them there. In the soft scale of things. They should be practicing that. They're not used to doing that level of role in their voice.. and it does take relaxing and control at the same time.. I had a horrible teacher. She made me quit my vocal lessons. She would hold my widow's peak so I would not slouch ever. Literally she almost plucked it out. She smacked me across my face.. Don't worry I grew up with a military family and I didn't even have to think about it my body just automatically whacked her right back. My mom was out waiting in the room. And I said I'm done I'm done. You should have rest her but I want to get away from here now. She was an Italian woman. She was evil. What side is I was a second soprano.. I was in about 4 months of Italian opera. The first year all we did is just practice scale. Sometimes they were short sometimes they were long sometimes they were curved. Sometimes they are sharpened off. She taught me quite well in control of my vocal cords my voice and how to open the mouse but have control of the larynx the throat the tongue.. it was quite annoying.. but. She was brilliant. Because I went from being able to hit second soprano notes. And shocking people. To dropping jaws. And getting the orphan Annie part. Sorry little girl that has red hair and you were born for that part. I can sing it like no tomorrow and I won that place.😅 Fare & square. I'm sorry you're not going to get an acting part, where the whole play is mostly singing. Because you have red hair. And she helped me so much. But she was an awful mean person. She was very strict. She would hit me with a stick. And when she smacked me. My mom's stood with me okay.. she wanted to call the law or do something against her I was like I'm out you got a lawyer sue her. Take a picture. I don't want to be here right now.. and she did she took some pictures. She did her thing with the lawyer.. that was hard and that was horrible. But she was really incredible with the way that she taught me how to sing. We would go months without a single song. Scales. Again again again again again again. Do it. God she was evil.. but all of that conditioning. When I was handed the song. I had no problem. Stop trying to practice for the very part that you want to sing. And just practice your scales. Indifferent keys... You want them smooth you want them rounded you want them sharp you want them quick you want them fast you want them slow. This is where you learn the control. I had no idea she was making me a singer. Which is pretty cool. But yeah she went out of business.😅 Honestly being abusive like that she does not need to be a voice teacher.. Her other methods worked really well. But beating someone. And heading them. And I finally broke when she hit me across my face. I was like I'm done. And trust me I was standing as straight as I could. My poor little tiny body was like I don't know what you want me to do but I can't do it. But I was singing like a adult.. when I would come out of her room. People would go oh my gosh that little girl was singing that. 😂 Yeah. Hello. 😅 It was me.

@@ericarceneaux no problem, can you do a video on repairing vocal damage
Hi Eric, I'm just 7 days post Thyroplasty surgery, is it safe to use your technique for voice therapy? I had a vocal cord paralysis.
