How about me not blaming you for everything How about me enjoying the moment for once How about how good it feels to finally forgive you How about grieving it all one at a time

Thank you Steven and Aviv for this amazing track! You´re doing this much better than Alanis! I love this relaxed style and that Steven always sing with such great passion! Aviv played fantastically well too! You are amazing!!!! // LoTta
Before I watched this I had 42 favorites. Because I'm a fan of the Hitchiker's Guide to the galaxy, I vowed not to favorite a video for a long time. Thanks to this it lasted about a week. Which goes to prove just how amazing Blackfield is.
SW really sings in a way we haven´t seen on Porcupine albums, but he´s singing a bit like this on "The Incident". Like he does with blacfield, up in key!! nice!
I subcsribe to harmony0404's post, just adding my "Thank you" to Aviv. Steven, Aviv, thank you for the MUSIC which can be rarely found nowadays. You're great, Blackfield.
bfjb70 Not a fan or Ms. Morissette. Most music videos I've come across are overly-expressive shite. Also that one time she said ppl should wipe with one square of toilet paper to conserve natural resources made her even more awkward. -,-
@FatalEden Yes, the guitar slide he's using is actually a napkin ring he made back when he was in school. Instead of a reglar slide, where you put 1 finger in, he can actually put 2 or 3 fingers in and play. He said in an interview that it's one of his most valuable posessions, because if it ever got lost, he wouldn't be able to play slide guitar anymore! :P
How about sounding like Five for Fighting? The transparent dangling carrot makes perfect sense, especially when it's followed by a line about an elusive kudo.
well my arts-teacher once said: you can take any work of another person and try your own version, as long as the new thing you create is better than the original. This somehow reminded me of him.
Just found the Transience version of this on Spotify, gotta say it doesn't live up to this version. Easily one of my favorite covers. Really shows what strong chemistry between two performers can bring to a song. Chilling.
Man I miss this. Back when it was still a joint effort, and there was no potential awkwardness between them. I saw them a few months back in London, and while it was incredible, you couldn't see any connection between Aviv and Steven. Real shame.
paneska Aha, well I doubt they had a fight. But you know, Steven Wilson has so many projects going, mainly his solo stuff atm, so he had to give up one of them, and it was Blackfield. You just gotta wonder if that's caused a rift between him and Aviv. I dunno, it just would have been nice if they hugged or something, to show they didn't hate each other, but they just got on with it.
@Alex7saint Wasnt trying to start any "bitch fight". I just noticed that UA-cam allows people to comment on videos (which generally consist of a mix of peoples thoughts about the video) and since someone linked me to this video to check out and I didnt like it, I thought Id leave MY opinion. But if my opinion is too much for you to handle, then you should probably not use the internet.
I can kind of enjoy this song now that he's singing it lol. Sorry Alanis, can't stand your voice, but luckily you don't care because so many people love it.
I actually really like Steven’s vocals in the original studio recording found on Cover version and Transience, but I gotta agree with you that this live version is far too over the top and shouty. The emotional vocal performance was what made the original cover good, and this is just kinda whack.
J’adore Steven Wilson. Quelle intensité dans sa voix 😌
Thank you Steven
Shivers down my spine...
How about me not blaming you for everything
How about me enjoying the moment for once
How about how good it feels to finally forgive you
How about grieving it all one at a time
Thank you India
Thank you providence
Thank you disillusionment
Thank you nothingness
Thank you clarity
Thank you thank you Steven
Cant stop listeneing
Ogni canzone che suoni e o canti Steven Wilson trasmette intense emozioni ,grazie Steven
The third verse, "How 'bout them transparent dangling carrots", actually makes a lot of sense to me.
Flawless as usual, amazing cover 😢
it seems "half-light" at the beggining
Belissimo cover da Alanis Morissette
thank you Steven, thank you Aviv
I cannot believe how good this is; devotion, passion, into the music;wilson is one of the greatest writers/performers nowadays
And still is! :)
@@veralillbjrkhaug3616 Thank you! ;-)
Steven is one amazin singer, even though he usually doesnt sing using really high notes , when he does he shows that he is truly talented!!!!
I fell in love!
Thank you Universe, for Steven Wilson!!!!!
Those colours of his voice...
I just love the style and talent Steven Wilson has. The sound of the slide guitar in the beginning moves me. Keep it up guys!
Thank you terror

Thank you consequence
Thank you thank you silence
How bout me not blaming you for everything

Thank you steven i'm an indian..we indians love u..

beautiful
Oh Steven, with your little napkin ring. ^^
Wonderful cover.
Siendo Wilson un genio no llega a igualar la magia en la interpretación del tema, no llega a igualar la magia de Alanis.
This is Great
An amazing performance by Blackfield in NY city!!! STEVEN WILSON T H A N K Y O U ! ! !
Dude! I cried with this one.
Amazing cover, Steven just make music sound better!!
Love it
Steven sings out so much more in this version than in his solo version I like this one better
awesome.
F**KING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I subcsribe to harmony0404's post, just adding my "Thank you" to Aviv. Steven, Aviv, thank you for the MUSIC which can be rarely found nowadays. You're great, Blackfield.
Loving the fact that Aviv is using Cubase 5.1!!!
I've been using this for a few months now and it is totally flawless. ;)
Better than the original. And not an awkward music video.. like the original.
Man alive....awkward....whoooosh!
bfjb70 Not a fan or Ms. Morissette. Most music videos I've come across are overly-expressive shite. Also that one time she said ppl should wipe with one square of toilet paper to conserve natural resources made her even more awkward. -,-
your welcome steven! :)
Thank You ,,,,
🖤
The thank you in the end was extremely funny!! But I do love blackfield from Israel and a huge fan of Aviv Geffen
Quite nice ;)

Qui veut découvrir Blackfield regarde et ecoute leur live in New York c'est fabuleux
Thank you, Steven !!!
How about sounding like Five for Fighting?
The transparent dangling carrot makes perfect sense, especially when it's followed by a line about an elusive kudo.
@Anseflans Napkin ring? What? :P
Would that explain the hand gestures he's constantly making? :P
'How about not equating death with stopping...'
I wonder how he breaks his voice at " thank you disillusionment"
It's not hard there's actually a word for it not sure what it is off hand
Love this version, agree with Kimelos =)
well my arts-teacher once said: you can take any work of another person and try your own version, as long as the new thing you create is better than the original. This somehow reminded me of him.
How about changing a line 'cause it don't make sense? Brilliant!!!
I love this song and this version is better than original. Huge blackfield fan though
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
Half light :-)
than you blackfield, is beautiful¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¿¿
me too....
@harmony0404 And Aviv?
I
Thank you Steven Wilson!!!
Just found the Transience version of this on Spotify, gotta say it doesn't live up to this version.
Easily one of my favorite covers. Really shows what strong chemistry between two performers can bring to a song. Chilling.
Aviv & Steven simply just make this song better :)
What did he meant by "Thank you India"?
Can someone give me the piano tabs to this? Thanks!
SW's guitar sound is phenomenal!
just for the luckiest ones! :D
Great cover, but I still like the original better... This is by far my favorite Alanis song =D
Man I miss this. Back when it was still a joint effort, and there was no potential awkwardness between them. I saw them a few months back in London, and while it was incredible, you couldn't see any connection between Aviv and Steven. Real shame.
What really happened with them? Why isn't there a connection? Did they fight or something?
paneska Aha, well I doubt they had a fight. But you know, Steven Wilson has so many projects going, mainly his solo stuff atm, so he had to give up one of them, and it was Blackfield. You just gotta wonder if that's caused a rift between him and Aviv. ***** Yeah, but the solo stuff is the best!
Awesome.
"How 'bout changing a line cause it don't make sense."
how bout changin' a line cause it don't makes sense..
lol I just read the lyrics and I'm getting this one now:P
@jeorjemika And Aviv Geffen? lol
It certainly makes more sense than "I'm through with pornography"
@Alex7saint Wasnt trying to start any "bitch fight". i really didn't like this song but this version altough not very different i really like good job guys
(y)
Thank you India?. What is it about?
+Siddharth DESHMUKH Its not their song so i am not to sure. I believe he has spent some time in India as has Alanis Morissette
Alanis Morisette wrote this song after a trip to India
IMHO, the song is now Steven's.
what whit Aviv
@d4z3d4ndc0nfvs3d lmao Ive heard this about 1000 times and never noticed that.
Thank you Disillusionment
i m sexy and i knw it
normal glasses
I can kind of enjoy this song now that he's singing it lol. Sorry Alanis, can't stand your voice, but luckily you don't care because so many people love it.
Wilson sounds too forced in the chorus..all the more credit to ms morissette
Chiranjeev Kolita Ye I kind of heard the same, but at the same time I feel like that made it sound more "emotional"
Music is excellent the vocals are horrendous
I actually really like Steven’s vocals in the original studio recording found on Cover version and Transience, but I gotta agree with you that this live version is far too over the top and shouty. The emotional vocal performance was what made the original cover good, and this is just kinda whack.
I know this is petty of me, but I loathe Alanis Morisette and therefor am kind of disappointed that Steve Wilson covered it :3
