Great beginner hi-hat lesson. I sometimes refer to the off-beat hi-hat groove as the disco beat. Although it was around before that style became popular.

Thanks! True it is often referred to as the disco beat but I avoid that term so it doesn’t get pigeon-holed in that genre.
