Indian railways should develop a next generation of WAM series locomotives. We can see many WAG-9s pulling passenger trains. A mixed type locomotive will definitely help here. A modified version of WAG-9 or WAP-7 can be used here. I request you to create a video in this topic
If you think that Mixed traction locomotives are good at both freight & passenger service then you are wrong. Mixed type locomotives are best for money saving because they have potential for both work but... but they are not best at both services. When countries have low budget for locomotives then they go with the mix traction but those who have enough budget they prompt with dedicated freight & passenger locomotives
@@Kaavin_dixit yes they were very successful at their era because then the freight trains were not too heavy and passenger trains were not long and overall track speed limit was max 120 Kmph, so they were bestest of that time
Indian railways should alote one or two workshops to produce more and more wap 7, because there are still lots of loco sheds that face the issues of passenger locos and ofc hire more drives too. We all see WAG-9 in most passenger trains because of shortage of wap-7 locomotives to haul it and in every god dam yard, siding one or two wag-9 is always free... 😂
Don't expect wag12 should be used in passenger instead it should be only contributed to all zones of ir freight trains and in upcoming dfc are increasing it will be used in dfcs all over India
HOG is not fitted in WAG9. The story of WAP7 is an interesting read in itself. But i am not sure about the few data you mentioned in the video - WAG9 HH is 12000 HP or 9000 HP with speed limit of 100 km/h WAG9 HC is another 6120 HP version or 9000 HP with a 100 km/h speed limit... Which of these is correct?
