As a language learner. All what you want to learn is .knowleg.then practise.. try to exposure yourself to the language that you want to learn. Lesten more . Try to understand the meaning of vocabulary that you learned. Try to understand how and when you can use it. Improve your pronounsiation.by reading and lestening. Try to find some resourses that fits youd level in english. Do not give up. The more you practise the more your level will improve. Finaly ... I know that I made too many mistakes whaile i was writing ..😂 so I am sorry about it
To my mind consistency is key. Building a vocabulary bank by reading and listening to something simple or complex daily....being mindful of grammar within contexts helps to improve our understanding of the English language. Last but not least is pronunciation - to communicate effectively but most of all to be understood we must be aware of the correct sound. A method called "shadowing" can definitely help improve pronunciation.
I have been learning English by listening to podcasts from BBC Learning English. I've been in this process for many months. At the beginning, I couldn't understand much of the content, so I needed to watch with subtitles and later without them. I repeated this process over and over again until I could understand the content without subtitles. I spent many hours listening to the same video. It was difficult because for some people it can be boring, but I wanted to acquire the language. Now, I would say that I don't need to watch the same video many times because I can understand a bit more. For example, with this video, I can understand about 85% on the first attempt. However, I like to watch it again with subtitles because it helps me identify new words and understand the structure. I hope to reach my goal of being fluent in English one day.
@@shirely2305 Well, I wouldn't say that I'm fluent in English yet, but I can definitely speak a bit. To be honest, I'm writing this without needing to translate the words in my mind, and it feels good. Let me share what's worked for me, it might help you. I believe that the best way to learn English is through a method you actually enjoy-something that keeps you motivated. I've tried many different ways during my English journey, and the method that I enjoy most now is listening to podcasts on topics I find interesting. Here's my process: I start by listening without subtitles, trying to understand as much as I can. Then, I repeat it with subtitles to catch anything I missed. After that, I go through the podcast part by part, focusing on sections or words I didn't understand. Finally, I pick out a few key words (the most important ones in my view) and write a summary.
I have been learning English for so many years .But , for the last two months, I have reached a high level of English. I am thankful for your impressive podcasts. They have been remarkably good for me.
I remember when I was a student at the University. I used to work all day 8 hours per day then go to university get at home 10pm prepared my dinner, do my homework and do it again in the next day. I'm from Srilanka . I'm Jayalath Nirosha.I've been study for about few months ago from BBC learning English every day . It's very important to learn for all eagers .
In France, most of the courses are mostly taught in French and the feeling of being at English class is not that pleasant and enjoyable. We need aside from school to make our own effort to immerse ourself to expect reaching a satisfying level. I understood that a bit late, at 24 years old, to go out from my comfortable zone. I live now abroad where I have daily English discussion with people (unfortunately not native) and good habits of reading books, watching movie. Thank you BBC to immerse ourself through interesting topics several times a weeks for years.
Here we just improve our listening, or better, we put in practice what we´ve learned... that´s all. Any way, this is a good tool for those who want to learn English.
We maintain and improve our memory - by means of keeping it alive - and listening skills, though also improve the language because of some extras when it comes to idioms.

To be honest bbc 6 minute learing english is a best chanel for learning english ❤❤❤❤ the chanel is taught us effortlessly, i really appreciate that ❤❤❤
I agree with the tips from Richard Hallows, but I pay attention to the pronunciation, although there are many different accents in England, let alone the many other English speaking countries! Many thanks for your lesson.
As the video says, pronunciation isn't the most important factor. Speaking English like a native speaker might be nearly impossible, and even if it's possible, it would take a lot of time. When I speak to foreigners who are speaking my native language, I don't mind their pronunciation at all. To improve your English quickly, the best way is to immerse yourself in situations where you're forced to use English, such as living or staying in English-speaking countries, working at hotels or tourist spots, or making friends who love speaking English.🇬🇧
