If you're open to a non-romance rec that has romantic subplots, when you were describing the first book, it reminded me a lot of my favourite book: Tigana. It's historical fantasy, so quite different, but it also deals with themes of memory and identity, although in a medieval-ish European setting. If you decide to pick it up, keep an eye out for Dianora - her storyline's my favourite. :)
I love Victoria Aveline's Clecanian series for fated mates, Choosing Theo definitely has a reluctant bond. I also really like Cate C. Wells Five Packs series for rejected mates, emotional pain, and groveling.
Hi!! I’m late to the party as usual lol but love all these fated mates recs! and let me add one that I literally just finished at 1am this morning..Crave to Conquer by Zoe Ellis! It’s one of three in this particular couple’s story, but they all around 200-300 pages. It’s dark fantasy omegaverse with a historical vibe, sort of in a mid evil setting. It’s so good but brutal! So I’m excited to see how we get to the HEA. The writing is elite tho, and a super unique take on omegaverse..highly recommend! 💜💜💜🫶🏼

Come through 📣. Thank you. I’m starting a new list now with these.
I might make a fated mates tbr video if I get enough recs. Christine Feehan is another I have to read before I go back to my local bookstore.
@@tifftalkspages Can't wait to hear your thoughts! I am doing a reread of the Clecancian series (when I'm not distracted lol).
@@tifftalkspages yes! I would love that!
