In those times CX flew from Auckland via HKG with the 747 series 200 from the New Zealand city to HKG then all of the European flights were operated with the then NEW 747-400s which comprised of London (Both Gatwick & Heathrow),Manchester,Frankfurt,Paris CDG,Rome FCO, Amsterdam and Zurich. Madrid was looked at (probably via Rome) but didn't materialise and Stockholm joined the European network in 1995. A lot of the European flight routes were combined (i.e Frankfurt to Manchester,Amsterdam to Paris,and London to Zurich) for which CX held fifth freedoms on.
One of the greatest, aspirational and immersive TVCs ever created. Absolutely stunning and memorable even after all these years.
