this is so beautiful! I just found out Spline and I'm amazed with your work. I'm new in web development and only had contact with backend and I always thought that design is so hard ... I'm not that creative lol
this is a great tutorial and a fantastic introduction to Spline however now (2 years later) there must be a more optimal way of working? such as applying the event to all the induvial smaller spheres along with cloning objects around a central object? (the glowing sphere in this case)?
At 8:32, I was wondering if it could be possible to group the 4 spheres and use some kind of replicator in @spline. I'm curious if this approach could save time on copying and positioning, and if adding some position noise is feasible to avoid a clear replication effect. I'd really appreciate it if someone could clarify this for me.
Loved this tutorial! Thanks. Where can I go to learn and understand the technical terminology? Such as what local v/s world position means, what does near/far exactly mean? etc. Thanks!
Spline is so damn cool! I just discovered it yesterday and it's so easy to work around I've always been afraid to use animating tools since they look complicated to use haha this is awesome! Edit: I got some suggestions to make, is there any effective way to communicate it with the team?
It would be nice to voice over how to perform the actions that seem simple. For example, I can't for the life of me figure out how to reset the position the way you do (I have to click in the upper-left) and the quick rotation after that into the angled grid. I have to start and stop the video so many times to be able to follow along accurately.
Hi, great tutorial, I try to use "cloner" with type "object" and target first sphere and woks well, but I didn't understand if I can assign the same animation as the original because they don't move. With cloner it would be much faster to generate the spheres without having to duplicate and redo the whole thing by hand. Thanks
One trick is to use the cloner to create the small spheres around the big one very fast. Then you can convert the clones into component instances and apply the interaction to the Main Component. Some manual work will still be required to adjust things, but it might reduce the total creation time. Maybe a good topic for another tutorial.
@@splinetool It seems that the hover effect doesn't work with the other instances. I think it's because the trigger is a different element and not an element within the actual component.
Thank you so much for this! But I seem to be encountering an issue, after I declare my states and set the event type to mouse hover, whenever I play it and test it out the hover effect doesn't work. Please help.
I tried to use this scene on my account but for some reason the scene isn't interactive at all for me... it doesn't work when I hower my mouse :/ any idea on how to get it to work?
One way is to use the cloner (a feature that was not available at the time this tutorial was created). With the cloner, you can clone an object over the surface of another object.
i still dont understand how those spheres got attached. you just got the sphere tool, used it and they are attached to the main sphere. when I use it, it doesnt work. did you use shortcuts or something?
Hi there! The small spheres are manually placed and rotated to be aligned to the surface of the bigger sphere, so they are not really 'attached' not anything.
This guy does good tutorials but it's too fast, no explanation of what the tools do. It's hard to follow. Do you want people to learn from the tutorial or copy your design?
This program is revolutionary. Please make a tutorial on how trigger animations through Webflow
The lighting effects are pretty chill.
Absolutely loved this! Please do keep the tutorials coming 🥰
to quick rotate spheres you can rotate it before moving. dublicate all mini spheres, rotate it, and then move
Omg Thank you very much! I was hoping you'd make a tutorial for this!

Love this tutorial. Please make more like it.

good tutorial and great voice
Please make more tutorials on 3d design in spine 😊❤
it was enjoyable ✨

Hi Seth! Will try to do this more. Thanks for the feedback!
For reset the camera: OPT (ALT) + R
To focus camera on selected object: S
@@splinetool Thank you!

Amazing !!!
Amazing!
🙌🙌
I'm trying to do it but the mouse hover doesn't work, I tried with "Start" and it works :(
Can you help me please?
Thanks! Is it possible to speed up this process with the cloner?
Please how do you move left and right in spline
Hi guys!
How to import a pre-animated object from C4D to Spline? Is it possible to import alembic files into Spline?
Thank you so much for this!
But I seem to be encountering an issue, after I declare my states and set the event type to mouse hover, whenever I play it and test it out the hover effect doesn't work. Please help.
I have the same issue, it doesn't work on mouse hover but when I touch it (I have a touch screen) the hover event triggered
@@nivekdreamman3834 is it possible to trigger it on mouse?

There are no changes from base state to the new state. Check your work again
Is it possible to use javascript to control state, and listen to state event fired from the Spline canvas object?
Is it possible to upload my own 3D models to spline?
where is the adress on Spline for this so that we can play around with it
💙💙
❤️
For some reason, I can't seem to find any of the options underneath the event section like yours
They are now in the Transition action within the event options when you click on the event.
@@splinetool thank you!
Wow! good job
How do you make the sphere come back when you are not hovering?
You can set the number 1 transition to "BASE STATE", then number two to "STATE"
@Buchienem Thanks, man. I've already solved it
2/38- done
Nice tutorial for a chemistry professor 🤣
Can we use it in threejs
I just wanted to recreate this and in the first 25 seconds I fail because I don't have the option "hardreset all" .... wow
Hi! "Hard Reset All" is now "Reset Transform."
Is there a shortcut or faster way to do this 8:34 ?

what the heck, this guy is not teaching, he's just creating himself, too poor Spline need some better tutorials
I mean... what better way to learn than by creating?
