Coodabeen Champions - DiPierdomenico

A favourite pastime of mine in the late 80's was to get to the footy early to watch the Reserves play and switch on the radio to 3LO to listen to the banter of the Coodabeen Champions.
Through Greg Champion and others they reworked famous songs to a football theme and played a track each week.
This track comes from the 1987 audio tape "In The Superbox With The Coodabeen Champions".

I just read that The Coodabeen Champions are apparently retiring after 43 years. This reminds me. In early 1990 I remember my parents had a Coodabeen Champions tape that I wish I could track down. I believe there was a song on there called Big Bird, sadly I can't seem to find it on UA-cam and it's not on Spotify either, I understand it's on the Superbox album. This tape we listened to I believe also had a song called My New Cricket Bat. It looks like the only way I can hear that Big Bird song again is to by the 3 pack of Greg Champion CDs from his official website.
