The Mo standing watch over the Arizona memorial is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.
Nothing can ever replace the old time battleships. I just love the integrity of them.
One proud lady, 887 feet long.
The " Mighty Mo." BB 63.
WW2, Korea, Gulf war.
U.S.S. Missouri.
Im long ret. U.S.N. but served 4 yrs on the mighty mo. Re uped for orders to her when i was to rotate to shore! Went through equator ceremony for 2nd time as a polywog because i wantef to be a "battleship" shellback. I've watched two of my previous ships scuttled as targets but I know one thing, they'll never do that to the Mighty Mo!
What an incredible piece of engineering and ship building. Gorgeous ship. It astounds me what the WW2 generation did in such a short time.
My grandpa was aboard her when the Japanese surrendered his job was a loader for the front turret of the 16”
Guns !! Very proud of you grandpa !!
I am too
Norman Alvarez both of u are very lucky
she didnt see any action in ww2
Me driving an ship in wows game
She may be old but by god she'll still turn heads when she goes by.a beautiful ship like her sisters
I am a Australian and i LOVE these IOWA Class battleships, They maybe old and now and floating museums but gee these old girls if ever needed could unleash some major damage.
Much respect to those who built them and sailed on them. Dam i wish i had a chance to see these girls in action!!
Ahhhhhh. Mighty Mo. USS Missouri. The sistership of USS Iowa. A ship that's helped us during the wars of the 20th century. She was Beautiful and she still is to this day.
We need her ,make America great again 2020
if this was after the persian gulf war in 1991, we visited fremantle/perth on 4/4-8/91. looking back what an honor and a privilege to have called her home for all them days: 11/13/90 to 3/31/92 (today, just happened to be 3/31/21: 29 years ago the battleship missoura got decommissioned).
Sup bro! Lol!
What an honor to be one of those young men, To be one of those young men on deck.🇺🇸
Proud to have served with that crew! Great group of guys!
When the USS Missouri was in port for a visit on her last cruise ( San Francisco Bay 1991) I toke my 14 year son for a visit on her deck. We had to wait in a line which I think was a quarter mile long. Grand day to say thanks and good bye to the MIGHTY MO! GO NAVY! (1961-1967)
She was a museum ship in 1976 in Washington State. It was the largest ship I ever had the opportunity to walk on when I was 12 and remember her well. I hope to see her again one day
thank you to all of the men and women who served aboard the USS Missouri
I am not Navy but Army and it is so extremely sad with her time in service and many who served on her to be decommisioned
She is a beast and should still be serving today.
I can't believe this is my first time seeing this.. I was aboard her during this.. One of the best memories I have was Manning the Rails pulling into port here..
Freemantle was not her last foreign port of call. That would be Hobart, Tasmania. We went there after we left Freemantle.
Rolf Staples II
You served on the Missouri?

Wow, that's amazing. I went aboard her at Pearl and she's quite a sight to behold. I can only imagine sailing on her on active duty. Thank you for your service to our country and to this great battleship.
@Michael 💪👍
YESSSS I WAS ON THERE TOO.
I own 3 replicas one of the USS MISSOURI And USS ARIZONA And one Of the USS NIMITZ
Met an old man back in 2004 while we were on tour in the US. He was wearing a 'Mo" cap. I asked him 'that's where the Japs signed their surrender right?' His answer: 'I know, I'm in the pictures... '
I spent a day on that ship and it was impressive
A icon of the free World!
Great resolution!
USS Iowa battleship in President Roosevelt was on the USS Iowa during World War II for 15 days Los Angeles California and USS Missouri and Hawaii at Pearl Harbor biggest battleships in the world Japanese surrendered on the Missouri 1945
She will be back
I don't see battleship Missouri's return to the fleet ever. Her name was eventually passed down to the current USS Missouri -- a Virginia-class attack submarine (SSN-780), awarded in 2003, christened in 2009 and commissioned in 2010
She did come back and in record time... she killed the aliens!
Amazing footage!
One of the baddest battleships ever made. I would not think about messing with Her
The ones that did regretted it instantly...
Under seige brought me here!
They need to rotate her birthing place... I'll never get to Hawaii to see her. Could bring her to the west coast every now and then so state bound people could visit.
though it's not the same ship, Iowa is berthed near Los Angeles. You could go and visit that one
@@markusz4447 New Jersey is closer to me and I do plan on visiting her in the near future. My underlying 'motive' for rotating them was that would require the navy keep them seaworthy and running!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!1
they should play the intro to underseige
Was that the one in the movie Under Seige?

Hijacking A Nuclear-powered Battleship? Not If You Have A Navy Seal On Board.
