- Not such a simple tool after all. Over 50 and I’m still learning! Who says you can’t teach an old dogs new tricks. I am over 50 years old and finally learned how to use an eyelash curler. It seems the way I have been doing it my entire life was wrong. Surprisingly the shape of the device never clued me into the correct way to curl my eyelashes. You look amazing i can see the curl better than any eyelash video and I’ve seen tons thank you.
So glad you were able to see what I am talking about. Lately I have been skipping the Kohler because I’ve been trying to direct the lashes out towards the outer corners. They should make a lash curler that does that!
Shiseido makes the best lash curlers. Pricey , but worth it. “Gently “pump curler . 10 times each eye. Best to have a mirror anchored( magnifying mirror is ideal) so you don’t have to hold it while applying curling lashes and applying mascara. Start at lash base and work up with mascara. Keep a pointed Q- tip with makeup remover near for any dots or mishaps . Waterproof mascara does keep lashes curled, but you will need a special oil based remover. Btw; your skin looks glowing.
I actually prefer shu uemura’s curler, but I think it’s dependent on the shape of your eye/lash line. And thanks for the compliment! 💖
Ps. Micellar water will remove waterproof mascara. ;)

I did not know this is how to use an eye lash curler! I am 62 & bought one yesterday to use, for the first time ever. It pinched my skin in the corner. I was not successful today. I will try again, tomorrow.
I just realized this is our golden birthday year we are 62 born in 62!
It’s hard to remember to use this correct method. I forget half the time, but keep at it you’ll get the hang of it.

To carey like for a clown costume is it better to use a eye lash curler for eyes and is it better to use a eyeliner for the top of the water line both top and bottom and what is a good lipstick is it better to use lipstick or lip liner from Steven

For the life of me, I can't get my lashes to stay curled after I curl them. As soon as I am finished curling them, they start falling down into the straight position again. Any suggestions for this problem?
I have heard people recommend to heat up your curling iron with your blow dryer for a couple seconds. Just make sure it’s not too hot. Also the answer could be in your mascara choices. Put on a waterproof mascara as your first coat. Then whatever you want for subsequent coats. Also… Make sure your eyelashes don’t have any leftover mascara on them when you first curl them!
I HAVE to use waterproof mascara or else it will wet my curled lashes right back out again. I always heat my curler up with a blow dryer or.... nevermind...
I shouldn't tell you I use a lighter VERY QUICKLY to heat the upper part of the curler).😮 BE CAREFUL if you try it!
