SUNSET PLAZA DRIVE

We had a friend visit and cycle up Sunset Plaza Drive, and we were like, where?? It's so interesting the routes that people from out of town find, and this one I had never been up. But as I love exploring these Hollywood Hills of ours, I had to go check it out. Starting right at Sunset Plaza on the Sunset Strip, it winds about four miles up, through Laurel Canyon, and connects to Mulholland Drive. I was expecting some steep climbs in this part of the Hills, but it was actually one of the more moderate routes. I was then going to take Mulholland to circle back home, but due to another year of torrential downpours and mudslides, it was closed again, causing me to double back down Laurel Canyon to the west side. However, since I was in the mood for more climbing, I go for some bonus hills in Bel Air. I love getting lost in those hills!
