The whole converter, old MPC sounds better debate flew over my head because I don’t own an old MPC. It’s irrelevant to me. What I’m using today is what matters.

Great Message! I feel like you! I was hoping he commented more on how it sound vs the 3,4,5000's. IMOP I think the newer MPC'S (Converters) sounds So much better, I Sold all the older versions. I think with Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio demands increases. CONVERTERS will change again. With using analog gear and digital software, all Eras of Genres sound should be able to be created and recreated in the Mix! Let's never devalue the old and the new!
Exactly. We are losing creativity now you got software that plays chords for you. How are you supposed to become a better musician and producer. Music comes from the heart.

I saw the video on his page. People were saying that he didn't address the flaws in the device. That really bothered me because in the beginning of the video, he literally said that he hasn't even seen an MPC since he made the 3000. If you look at the difference between the 3000 and the X. The X does so many things that the none of the Roger Linn models, or any of the other MPCs from before the Renaissance for that matter, could do. They have to see the forest from the trees. That's like the gentleman who invented the first analog multi track tape machine seeing Pro Tools for the first time. You think he's gonna bring up a subscription license vs perpetual??
The things we complain about, I don’t necessarily think he would even care about. With what you get in the mpc vs what you pay for it, it’s an incredible piece of gear.

@@SlickGriminals I’ve been using the MPC live 2 for a few years now and I haven’t experienced these bugs that I hear people talking about. The only issues I’ve ran into where simply me not having enough knowledge on how to operate it.
And I can almost guarantee that the issues you bring up, involve features that the MPC 3000 could only dream of having.
So in roger Lynn’s eyes, it’s a privilege to even have the features that you may claim there are issues with.
@@dannydecanhas3743 slave the mpc to an external clock and press play on the looper. it wont play because its broken. you trying to gaslight me wont work because i understand the mpc more than you. these are well documented bugs but akai just keeps selling plugins and people like you keep defending them
@@SlickGriminalsthat's a valid point as I'm sure anything else that's acting up over the years. I've been MPCs over a period of 31 years but with a 10 year gap when I didn't which ended 7 years ago when I got the Touch. Plus up until now, I've used the current MPCs as basically a drum machine inside of Reason. I definitely haven't dove as deep into them alone, so I respect your position. I doubt Linn really put the MPC through the ringer which is probably why he didn't bring up the bugs. Any other current bugs that you're still experiencing?
