Unpopular take but not a fan of how altitude-assisted performances typically in Lubbock, TX & Albuquerque, NM count towards NCAA Records :( That's some serious depth there by Texas Tech 🔥

They shouldn’t. Wind aided times aren’t included so why are the altitude times listed? Doesn’t make sense.

@@T1MB05L1C3 Yeah it's puzzling e.g. Terrence Jones's 6.45 in Lubbock, TX isn't the same as Christian Coleman's 6.45 at sea level in College Station, TX back in 2017!

What a great 4 by 100 . . . but how very sad the anchor leg couldn't finish it without celebrating (taunting or showing off?) a few meters out from the finish line. I recall Carl Lewis pulling up short, gliding in, in a 200m race where he'd have easily broken Pietro Minnea's 19.72 longstanding 200 WR. Lewis would go on to NEVER hold the WR in the 200. It sort of reminds me of the modern football player, several of whom have actually dropped the ball before passing over the goal line for a TD to start their celebratory shows. Gosh, what has the world come to when some people can't wait a few hundredths of a second before they do a dance or something.
