For $500 you should get a ryzen 5 5500 or ryzen 5 3600 used for the gpu, use a rx 6600 or 5700xt used or for nvidea use rtx 2060 super or some 2000 series gpu, use the msi a550bn.
Appreciate the comment! This video was more for things you can get NEW on Amazon rather than finding used components that may or may not even work for a person building their first PC. While I agree the parts you mentioned would be FAR superior to the ones I used for the build they are much harder to find new and not over priced by scalpers. I’ll pin the comment for anyone that might be looking for some better parts though because your absolutely correct! If you can find better components for $500 and trust the sources, go for it! Keep any eye out for future builds using some of the components you mentioned! 💯🤘🏻
You know I told myself that same thing as I was putting it together and putting in the prices for the edit.. was like that was pretty dumb 🤣 but.. still works and games pretty well! Hey, brother. I dont know if this will inteest you at all, but in a couple of months, a lot of PS5 users (myself included) are going to be very interested in building their first PC. The reason being that on Aug 7th, Sony are releasing an adapter that allows PSVR 2 to be connected to be Steam compatible. Obviously after spending so much already on console, headset, games, and accessories, a lot of us less well off users will be looking for cheap builds, that will be able to play most of the Steam VR library, including some of the more demanding games like MS flight sim. Its really difficult to find a good video guide for somebody like me that knows next to nothing about PC gaming. Might not be something that you are interested in, but i was recommended your vid today, and thought i'd mention it. Could be a good video for the algorithm. 'PC build for PSVR 2' 😉✌️

I am building a $600 build everything but the case cane from Amazon. The case came from Newegg. Building it for my granddaughter. I wanted a current gen GPU. I went with a Arc a850. Best new 8gb affordable GPU which should out preform the old GTX 1650 4gb cards. I have a 1650 I use to test systems due to it uses no power cables. I got a nice MB a b550M Aorus elite AX Ryzen for $100 new from Amazon. Pared with a Ryzen 5600 CPU . This board has way more features than the one you picked I could have brought my build to $500 If I saved on the power supply and case. However, My PC has a better upgrade path and build in Wifi.
Hey glad to hear your building a PC for your grand daughter. That's awesome!! I appreciate your recommendations and some things I can look into for future builds. I hadn't really thought of intel when it comes to GPU's with them being so new to the market and know them to have some cooling issues and some driver concerns people have had but that 8GB is probably great! As for the mobo I wasn't able to find that option for prime benefits so would have had to pay for shipping and wouldn't have gotten to me in a reasonable time. But do have a board I plan on using going forward for my builds that has Wi-Fi for around the same price. Don't know your other components but glad you were able to get a good build going for 600! While all those parts are obviously far superior to the build I went with, just the ones listed have already hit a price point of 425-430 while excluding a motherboard, PSU and case which would bring it over the budget I went with which would make it a killer PC I'll give you that but just wouldn't be for $500 anymore! Idk the prices in your country, but here in mexico you can build a pc with a ryzen 5 5500, a rx 6600, 1 tb nvme and 16 gb for like the same price
