Why Gatwick Express is NOT The Best Way to Reach Gatwick Airport by Rail - GX vs Thameslink Review

On April 3rd 2022, the Gatwick Express returned to passenger service after over two years owing to the Covid 19 pandemic and ongoing development works at Gatwick Airport station, so on the first day we take a ride to the airport and return via Thameslink just to show why it was not particularly missed by myself!
Journey Details:
Date of travel - April 2022
Operators - Gatwick Express and Thameslink (both operated by Govia Thameslink Railway)
Origin - London Victoria
Destinations - Gatwick Airport and London St Pancras International
Journey Times - 28 minutes and 44 minutes
Prices - £13.65 (GatEx) and £7.05 (Thameslink) (Incs. 1/3 railcard discount)
