The rallying scene is huge for these. Look at the fibreglass doors, boot, and bonnet. Plexiglass too to save that high up weight. Really want to build a track 180. Dont have the heart to strip my daily one though 😢
Please tell me you fitted the reinforcement plates for the cage and didn't just bolt it through the floor?! One roll over and it'll just punch straight through the floor pan.....
There were plates on either side of added strength but nothing welded to the floor. It was something I’d planned on doing next but with little competitive events planned I left as is.
@nathanaelwarden I wish I had the funds to have kept on and got the car on track but had to sell and get some £ back in the bank. Would love to keep doing projects like these and even get to a point of being able to do A-B tests to see what each modification actually does to your track time!
Maybe replacing the rear windows for a transparent plastic thingy would save a couple kg!
Definitely a good shout, got to be a good 4kg saving!
Back side windows joined man

Cheers Michael, didn’t consider body panels but definitely a good move!
Once this project is done I might be selling up 😉
Great car choice mate, love this 👍👍
Cheers buddy!!
maybe a Knowhow black would look good haha!
With some of the knowhow rainbows?!
I think the blue to match your logo would look good!🙌🏼
Love that idea!
remove the rear wiper and motor, rear speakers ;-)
That’s got to be another 5kg, good shout!

@@JLMTAuto it's a shame you ended the series on this car so abruptly. It'd have been good to see it in action
