Q: Did you do the Depths and DLC Bosses?
A: Yes, I attempted them. Part 3 will be out eventually.
Q: You used a weapon to block, this isn't Gifts Only!
A: This is discussed in the intro. It is generally implied in the Souls community that the rules should be interpreted as "not causing damage with anything except Gifts". I'm sorry that this was not as clear as it could have been. However, if you want to see this challenge done without weapon blocks, you can check out Revenant Owen's or PseudoDrifter's runs!

Q: Can I get the full version of Cinder Halation or Filler Shmoe?
A: They don't exist. Cinder Halation was very hard for me to compose because I don't really have experience forcing one song into a different time signature (Snow Halation is in 4/4, while Gwyn, Lord of Cinder is in 3/4).
Q: How hard was this run?
A: Taking all 3 parts together, it's about a medium. Overall it was easy, but some parts were hard when you use the strats I used.

A few notes:
1. While I was the first to my knowledge to complete this run, there was an /almost/ identical run completed by Pseudodrifter, who allowed parries and didn't know you could remove Louis in the beginning. Mine is just a bit more pure. But if someone wants to go even harder, do it without blocking

I have an idea that's pure torture. Beat God of war 4 on give me god of war difficulty but you can only use boy. Except for the parts that are literally impossible such as when he is sick
I feel like the only way to do this without blocking would be to do it in NG+ so you have access to blood grab from the start since it allows you to regain ichor based on your weapons drain rating by precisely dodging melee attacks. It's less than stellar with no support but with proper setup (Devour Bayonet, drain rating buffs both in an out of focus) it can recover nearly 2 ichor in a single dodge. I used it in a countermeasure/ dodge based novelty build a while back but I imagine if you actually used offensive gifts, it would be pretty strong (although you are locked to artemis since blood grab can't be transferred). Probably wouldn't work on Successor of the Ribcage though since it barely has any melee attacks.
I think there's also a skill that drains ichor from nearby poisoned enemies but I'm unsure how useful that would be.

After some thorough "research" I've discovered that Successor of the Ribcage has ZERO r34 of it, making it one of the rare instances where a furbait character defies the 34th rule of the internet

@@sirapple589 I checked and no, not even there. The most I found was a suggestive sfm(?) of successor of the claw.
And so it was by invoking r34 that somewhere, someone is making it and uploading it to as many places as possible. It will be. R34 cannot be denied.

I don't even like that character, I think it's disgusting. But a rule is a rule.

It is pretty brutal
Blade Bearer, Cannonear, and bullshit
It's O&S, except :
- The arena is tiny
- The pillars offer no protection
- Their attacks aren't synchronised with each other's, making dodging a hell
And worst of all : the Blade Bearer's giggle physics (how am i supposed to concentrate with that in front of me?)
If you get a good zweihander and get yakumo you can make it a stun lock pretty much. Just gotta watch for special attacks.
Honestly that fight was the 3rd easiest only being beat by Oscar and successor of ribcage
Successor of ribcage doesn't have alot of health and I always make high damage builds

@@meerkat3447 I like the invisible enemies one, though I don't think it'll work well in the typical style of my edits (if it's invisible, there's not much to watch right? except my suffering). But I wonder if there is a mod to do that in the first place?
@@ChallengerAndyOfficial I believe ZullieTheWitch created a DS3 mod (“Barrel Souls” on this page: www.nexusmods.com/darksouls3/mods/136/?tab=description) that uses the Chameleon effect on enemies, so they would all appear disguised as game objects.

Knowing what's inside the gift box is too much insight than man is meant to know. I need to bleach the eyes on the inside of my head now.

I've never figured out that laser at the start of the fight either. I just dodge spam straight ahead and somehow that works. Just be glad you're not assisting in co-op against the Ribcage. For some reason the electrical balls and floating fire orbs are invisible for a guest player, so yeah, that's a thing.
You should still feel good for beating the Ribcage, since her entire build is a middle finger to Caster builds. You're not supposed to beat her with gifts since she resists all gifts, so you did something special there
Shocked you didn't have as much trouble as I expected with the sand traps eating your ichor.
Good work on CraBB solo. You'd be surprised how many people forego resistance gifts and make their lives harder. Any time I assisted a rando with the fight I always equipped those resistances to keep the host player breathing while I did my thing.
You're definitely god tier at this point in the game since you destroyed Mido and Skull King so easily. Ribcage was clearly where your weakness was wrung out, leaving only pure skill and a rearranged skeleton behind.
Did you use Dark Shout at all? It buffs your next gift attack's damage by a good margin. But hey, you beat the game so it doesn't matter now
Only thing I would have wanted to see you do is the Depths version of CraBB. When you kill one of them, it triggers a cutscene where the surviving boss inherits the dead one's powers, and starts a boss fight with this new incarnation of misery. Blade Bearer gets a fast left hook to her combo and a bunch of fire spells, and the Cannoneer gets AoEs for _weeks_ and a death laser. And if you die, you start from the beginning. Good luck

About the ripcage......I never see half of the attacks you showed to me.

there's a timemaster mod that could make for some challanges
-Walk Vein run where enmies are a little slower, but only slow enough to barely walk away from their attacks (which means only defense would be walking and no gifts or holding the stick all the way out)
-On drugs run where you have your character at max acceleration the whole playthrough
as for the time stop function, how about a run where you can stop time for 3 seconds(increase by 1 per boss defeated/blood code obtained) and in exchange for only being able to make attack in stopped time (warning that if you use melee attack you would get stuck till you unstop time) (Spells allowed, cannot stop time when using a buff, must replace Mido with Dio)
So after seeing your vids like 3 times each (at least the challenge runs) im inspired enough to make a challenge run thats complete hell, imma take a mmorpg and beat it without moving, using healing items, or mana, this it will be hell, but if a masochist could beat code vein with only gift another masochist with less concern for his health can beat an mmorpg without moving, healing or mana

Fantastic videos! I absolutely love Code Vein, and it's great to see someone go into just how strange the mechanics are. Now that you have the Queen's Blood Code, I assume you'll use Chaotic Ash a lot to regain Ichor? It's what I did for an only Gifts build, though using it to full effectiveness is a bit clunky.
I was going to ask about the Sands of Depravity Gift against the Virgin Born, but I think that's exclusive to the Queen's Throat Blood Code. It manages to do massive physical damage in an area, and its pretty good against magic resistant enemies.
Chaotic ash was actually quite bad in my run. You can watch the streams if you can't wait (though they are still a bit dated at this point), as I finished my attempt of this run. The last video may drop mid next year? Got super delayed due to getting new job and moving to different state. But thanks for the comment!
@@ChallengerAndyOfficial I think its drain is affected by defense, so it gives a lot less Ichor than expected (unless you have Merciless Reaper). The recharge time can also be fixed by just switching to a different Blood Code and back again, but this method is really clunky. I'll take a look at the vods, though I assume there is a lot of them. I've been waiting for this conclusion for a while, Did not dissapoint! Big fan of your editting, and how every video is 50% concentrated rage and 50% tactical genius.
As for run ideas, since you've done a Pokemon challenge run, would it be possible to mod it so that every trainer battle in the game has the same lineup as one of the elite 4 (or whatever equivalent there is in the game)? Kinda like a Pokemon all-Gwyn run, minus the low-hanging-ceiling cheese
I'm sure it's possible, but damn that sounds absolutely boring, no offense. The thing with Pokémon runs is like, the only interesting part is getting past the first couple hurdles. Then it usually becomes grinding for a million hours to a suitable level and then just sweeping every team. I'm also just kinda burnt out on Pokémon in general after so many years of playing. Additionally, modding the games is kind of difficult (the modder helping me with the "current" run is having to deal with a lot of memory restriction issues). But thank you for the suggestion! If you got another one I'd love to hear it.

Another idea, have you ever player Remnant from the Ashes? I haven't gotten too far into it, but the "gift" system in Code Vein reminds me a lot of the Weapon Mods in Remnant. Similar to code Vein, Weapon Mods are active abilities that can either enhance your weapon's performance, or do something completely different, like the iconic "Summon a Very Good Boy" mod that gives you a temporary doggo follower.
My challenge proposition is this: Beat the game using only (or primarily?) weapon mods that DON'T act as enhancers to your guns. The only caveat is that these weapon mod abilities are replenished from shooting enemies, so I think there'd have to be a rule in there stating that you can use your (un-upgraded) guns for explicitly charging these abilities and not much else.
Not sure if this'd be a good idea or not, just throwing it out there :) Anyway, can't wait to see your Orphan of Kos run!

One of the rules (not stated) was to get true ending. This was due to mistaken thinking that every successor had to be saved to fight the final boss. No regrets though

Mitten Squad is great! He just sometimes gets himself into pickles that he's too hollowed out to throw himself at too much. The man has been doing this way longer than I have, and mostly with Fallout hahah

So, given how old the challenge run is, and how you already beat deepthroat, my little tip is practically useless. But for the twin hand attack she does in phase 1, dodge to your left/her right, I don’t know why, but it makes it a joke to avoid all her attacks if you circle her by going left. At least it’s like that for me, and I do dark/light caster builds Cus the melee builds in this game seriously confuse me Cus like…. I’m only using 78 out of 300 weight units WTF YOU MEAN I DONT HAVE NORMAL ROLLS?!

God, I remember when I fought the Virgin Born in my vanilla playthrough, I only won because it kind of got stuck against the side wall in a weird way after one of its jump attacks and most of its attacks ended up missing me, allowing me to kick its ass without reprisal. Think it took about 6 attempts. Also I was over level 140. Yeah, I'l be thr first to admit I'm not the greatest Code Vein player ever, but the Virgin Born is all kinds of bullshit.

Quite sad to see that I can't ever watch your streams (6pm MST -> 2 AM in GMT+1). Overall, I'm definitely interested in seeing more of your challenge runs. I don't really have suggestion on painstakingly hard challenges (the only challenge I did personally was on Burnout Paradise and it wasn't that hard if you knew what you were doing).

If you're still going for the DLC's for this challenge, i'd highly, HIGHLY recommend investing in Dancing Blaze from the Hephaestus blood code. Super fast, very strong, versatile, and efficient. That gift allowed me to shred the final boss with almost no issues and was a key in my mage playthrough to clear the game and the DLC bosses

I took your suggestion to mean "hunter tools that use arcane only". While I don't see any videos on UA-cam of anyone having done this, it's probably because it's not "technically" possible, due to arcane items not being found until later in the game (after a couple bosses). You can technically theoretically beat it as Molotov cocktails scale with arcane, so like I might actually try that? It probably won't be that fun though because I didn't realize until now but there aren't many things that use arcane that aren't weapons. Using weapons is a cop out.
I also checked if a consumables only run has been done, and it appears it has (didn't watch full video because it was several hours long). This makes me hesitant to do the arcane only run since it would be just a bit harder, but maybe sometime in the future. Thank you for the suggestion!
