These Girls don't need any tricks, auto-tune, etc... They're live recordings are just as good if not better than the studio recordings. They're amazing.
I remember gardening and playing this on a boombox!!! Lost the CD but love whole album!!! Saw them in CT many years ago and the entire crowd sang all their songs with them!!!
the best is just strumming like all get-out and knowing that's what the song calls for. I love playing with the capo on like 2nd-5th fret - it makes the sound.
Always have loved this song, deriving great positive vibes from its message of anti-depression, anti-'analysis paralysis', self-motivation - 'get out of bed and get something done!' Amy looks like Tom Cruise in this video; but I'm digging her shorts (so '90s!). They should not have been playing the same chord inversions on this (they don't always) - too 'campfire' - but one could have played in A (capo on 2nd not 4th) for variety.
My first IG cassette ( yep) came to me via friends who knew and accepted, loved my heart and myself in 90.....on our Rome semester ( University of Dallas, Irving , Tx) ...they have been singing my life ( and yours)
They are supreme musicians. Supreme songwriters. No ego. There music is so uplifting it's crazy. Been listening to these girls for decades. They just melt together.

I am a 61 year old male but I have loved their music since 1990. They are so immensely talented. And awesome in concert!
This was one of the best Austin City Limits broadcast ever!

GAWD, I LOVE THESE WOMEN....going on 30 years now of touching my soul!!

Brought a smile to my face over one year into the pandemic. Enjoy your work so much Amy and Emily!
I like their guitar-playing.
