  • The full interview containing both studio clips.
'Full' as used in the title is in reference to the entire segment shown on a Whistle Test episode in 1986 which has been previously unavailable on UA-cam in its entirety.
In the original upload of ten years ago, I poorly edited out the portion of Big Country in the Whistle Test studio performing Look Away. This time, it's all here including the studio performance of The Teacher using the rare and unreleased mix that they played along to.
I am still going to put it out there that the particular mix of The Teacher may in fact be an original Millar Mix, unsullied by Walter Turbitt and Dave Bates. It is clearly a different mix than either the album or single versions.
Also ,with UA-cam's compression changes from a decade earlier, this should be a hopefully clearer clip.
Stay Alive and thanks for watching or commenting!

Mark Ellen sharing the questions around the band with some lighter responses than others, honest to the core. The Seer album being plugged you may say but that’s how it was done at the time. OGWT was a go-to haven for fans of music so as far as exposure, the audience would be certainly a huge step away from the chart-based TOTP and probably something more akin to what the band themselves are like in terms of broader taste and appreciation.

The interviewer references Steeltown as not as successful as the debut…can u imagine putting out such a devastatingly brilliant beautiful heavy record like Steeltown and having to defend it…how depressing…but artists now get their minds blown by Steeltown
…the Seer is great but Steeltown 😳 omg

Right? “It’s too wild” is Stuart's tongue in cheek reply but that’s also its strength. “…Wild and Free…”
