-------------- Places visited on this tour:
    PRAIA DA ROCHA
Praia da Rocha is about three kilometers from the center of Portimão and is perhaps the best known of the Algarve beaches.
This beach is more than 1 kilometer long and 200 meters wide of golden sand, with beautiful reddish cliffs and crystal clear blue waters. It also has various support equipment for bathers.
On this beach, where the temperature is high during the summer and mild throughout the year, you can relax, but also have fun practicing different activities and sports.
It has many bars, restaurants, hotels and many shops, just a few meters from the beach and where you can have a good time.
It is a holiday resort focused on two factors, being on the beach and having fun. Praia da Rocha is a perfect destination to relax on the beach, eat delicious food and enjoy the night.
From Portimão Marina, which is next to Praia da Rocha, several boat trips depart, including visits to the Benagil Cave, dolphin watching trips, fishing trips and exciting speedboat trips.
    PORTIMÃO
Portimão, one of the most visited destinations in the Algarve, is an ancient fishing town and despite being today one of the most populated cities in the Algarve, it has a calm and relaxed atmosphere that allows you to relax in complete tranquility.
Located on the bank of the River Arade, it is essentially residential, with squares full of restaurants and cafes with terraces, connected by pedestrian shopping streets with traditional shops and a series of historical and religious buildings. The architecture of the end of the century. XIX and beginning of the century. The 20th century marks the profile of the historic center: two-story houses, wrought iron balconies, doors and windows in refined stonework and walls covered in tiles.
You shouldn't miss a visit to the 15th century Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, rebuilt after the 1755 Earthquake (the Gothic portal of the original building remains), with a baroque gilded main altar.
The Jesuit College Convent, from the 17th century. XVII, Praça da República has an imposing facade and a very beautiful church.
To experience and get to know the soul of Portimão, there is nothing like walking along the Passeio da Ribeirinha, along the Arade River Estuary, from the Portimão Museum to Ponte Velha.
When you're feeling hungry, there's no shortage of typical restaurants in the Largo and Rua da Barca area at the foot of Ponte Velha.
In these restaurants we can taste grilled sardines, the dish that stands out most in local cuisine. Although consumed throughout the region and throughout the country, it is famous in Portimão and is honored as a festival in August. But there are many other fish and seafood specialties to try, such as clams, whelk feijoadas, cataplanas or stews. The region's traditional sweets made with almonds and figs or carob are fantastic.

Thank you very much for the comment. Yes, one day I hope to record a video of Monchique. I've spent good afternoons there next to the freshwater spring and in the shade of the trees there.
