I have the melrose elites in the love is love edition and I love them!! Upgraded from the moxi rainbow riders. Way more comfy and durable. I’m still super new but they are making it easier to learn
I finally got myself a pair of Rio roller skates, they're equivalent in quality, but the Rio matched better with my casual outfits 😅 I'm glad to be a part of the roller skate crew!! And good job for this second review 😊
I couldn’t ever find Rios in stock! I think they’re super cute! Yay for having a pair of skates and being part of the crew! Hope you’re having fun 😍, and thanks love!
@@spookyumi hii do you think both chaya and rio would handle artistic roller skating well? would break if i try to land on jumps like toe loop or even better - axel?
I've got the Chaya Melrose Black Pink and my only problem is that I feel like I'm putting on ski boots! There is just to much cushion for my taste so it feels very stiff! :/
That’s how I feel about my Impala Rollerblades. It’s like the cushions conform to my feet after about 15-20 min, but it’s like I’m breaking them in every time I put them back on. My Chayas seem to be completely broken in now so I don’t have this problem anymore, but all of our feet are different.
Try Sure Grip Fames. I feel as a newer skater they have cushion but not too crazy and they are durable for both indoor/outdoor. Plus, they have solid ankle support but not crazy stiff
First and most important: you look so cool skating 🥺 second... These came in today and I feel like they are too big :( I'm so sad, but I think I might have to return them. What size did you buy and how long is your foot? Mine is 26 cm and I got the size 42. My ice skates secure my feet a lot, could it be that these are meant to be looser?
My bad for the delay in my response! I ordered the 6 and I’m 6/6.5. If thick socks didn’t solve your dilemma then maybe a size down wouldn’t hurt. I’ve more often heard that they fit snug, and almost too snug in many cases.
Thanks for the review! I just found a pair of these on clearance in my size and I think I'm gonna go for it. I've been stressing so much trying to make the "right" decision as a beginner, I just want to get started. I have it narrowed down between the the Chaya Melrose Elite, SureGrip Fame Rollers, or Riedell 135 Zen. I just don't know if it's worth upgrading right from the get go, but I do want something that will last for a long time. Have you had any issues with these?
I'm newer to skating and I really like my Sure Grip Fames. Super comfortable and now I've done some upgrades with wheels and cushions and they are perfect. I am looking at Chaya because of the 1/2 size option and because I don't want to keep switching wheels from indoor to outdoor.
Buenas!!! Yo he tenido una mala experiencia. Del sudor en un mes se me han oxidado los enganches metálicos, manchando toda la bota por la parte interior. No los recomiendo. Además, no entra en la garantía que los apliques metálicos se oxiden en tan poco tiempo.
To be honest I haven’t been able to skate for awhile because I’m almost 5 months pregnant. I was gonna do a video about it 🤣. I still very much love my skates and think they’re awesome beginner/lifestyle skates. Up until my skating hiatus they held up really well.
I got this pair of skates and on day one they are squeaking, i think they are the cushions, did this happen to you too? :( I'm concerned. Maybe I can lubricate the cushions and they'll stop making that sound What do you think?
Hey I made an update video a few posts back on my status with skating. I had a baby and me feet outgrew my skates. I’m currently in the market for an new pair that fits 🥲

Yaaaaasssss! I think they’re the perfect beginner skate made with more longevity in mind! 😍😍😍😍
Same! They’re amazing! I’m gonna try them outside for the first time ever in a couple of days! I’m really excited!😃
How was sizing for you ? Too small too big , just right
I'm purchasing a pair second hand on Monday upgrading from the rainbow riders, very happy to hear that they're way more comfortable!!

Was rio a better go than the chaya? Helppppp me pleaseee I'm looking for the durability and the weight of the skates TIA!
@@Orenki-guin Both are really great in my opinion! I have the Rio and some friends of mine have the Chaya, same quality I think ^^
@@spookyumi okay thank youuuuu! But I think rio has a better designs tbh HAHHAHAAH thank you!

How is the sizing? I've read they run small , anyone who has them have any input?
I ordered uk4 and it was toooooo tight (I am UK4.5 240mm with wide feet) When I tried my friend uk6 it fit comfortably so I need to order uk6
How do you feel about this skates now? Still like them 7 months later?

What kind of socks do you have on friend

I didn’t have that issue. I would suggest making sure your wheels aren’t too loose if you adjusted them, and then check your cushions!
@@iplaywithfiber I'll try that, Thank you!!
