It's always something dumb like not having your car insured, or speeding that gets these people caught. I mean obviously criminals aren't particularly bright, but man this is some incredible level of incompetence.
The vast majority of people convicted for trafficking or controlling are sex workers themselves. The law is so worded that doing anything with another worker or to help another worker is a crime. For instance if you take a payment for them, have possession of a key to a building they are working out of, buy materials for a place (even if you are buying them to be used by yourself as well), cook meals for other workers, give a lift to another worker, help organise another worker to come and work with you, take rent (even if it's their share of rent), sharing contacts etc etc etc. There were three women in this case, one the victim obviously realised she was in trouble and fled the country after she spoke to a solicitor, the other two were convicted. The law is very very broken and it needs rewriting.
If like Holland cannabis and sex working was legalised, then a lot less of this Policing would be necessary. But that’s the UK,it never does anything properly.
Love the optimisn of the police officer, but I will categorically state he is wrong. Only girls from very small villages in Romania get into the indecent trade, due to lack of knowledge. Often simply because they have not much knowledge, of anything outside their village. (Most other folk, have enoughknowledge and access to knowledge not to fall for this trap.) Being sent back, to such a simple form of living, often leads to them getting back into the same trap as before. It is very sad, but a fact none the less.
Here's an idea, maybe they should give someone who pled guilty to human trafficking and forcing the girl into the sex trade a little more time than two flippin years. Hell the actual head of the ring the madam got a suspended sentence. What's next? The police start paying the traffickers once arrested?
they commit very serious crime, huge police operation then they get almost no jail time? wtf
21 months and 2 years? I would say 21 years both of them and the women too
UK Laws seem to be designed to stymie efficient police work.
It's their human rights taken to the extreme. Criminals are treated with kid gloves and sod the victims.
Attacking the elderly in their own four walls . Some crimes are not " approved of " by other inmates . Watch your back in jail !

The sentences are absolutly pathetic! Should be life! For what they put these girls through!

Weak ass sentences in the trafficking case
by the way when the voiceover says 'vectims' she means 'victims' but she has a very broad Scottish accent
also 'en Breten' is 'In Britain' and 'bellions' is 'billions'
Try name search to check the guys' names on the computer for crime history.

Sex workers are legal in England tho ?
Sex working as an individual is legal, didn’t you listen to
