Blue Spring - Manatee Sanctuary

Blue Spring State Park, near Orlando, Florida, provides manatees with a warm refuge in winter. The park is closed for kayaking and swimming during these months, but the public is welcome to observe these fascinating marine mammals from the boardwalk. Save the Manatee Club Researcher Wayne Hartley has been keeping close track of the park's sea cows since the 1970s.
