@ You are talking about 2 different things. We are in a world where Hondas and Toyotas have massive recalls for engine failures. Besides, I got an extended warranty for extra coverage; I can afford it.
Seems fine to me as long as it’s ergonomic to use. The floating aesthetic can be a pretty polarizing but seems like many people like it even if a few may loathe it.
@newswanofficial 😂😂😂absolutely, who wants a midsized SUV with crossover type wheels and tires🤦♀️this commenter has to be either older 🧓 or just has no sense in styling 😂
As a 19 XC90 owner i absolutely love the new look❤the change was gradual and not a complete change like other manufacturers my only dislike but could get used to it,is the dash screen since its not flushed with the dashboard it looks a little out of place even knowing it was intentional and sure in the US im hoping the traditional window tint would be added otherwise beautifully done
Have you owned your 2019 XC90 since new? How many km’s are on it? I am considering one of these but am worried about its dependability and longevity. We have bought Lexus in the past but their new 4 cylinder architecture does not interest me. Volvo has been doing it longer and offers far more performance. I just question reliability and service costs.
@beri232 I bought it in 20 with 11k on the miles I currently have 34k and it's been a absolutely wonderful SUV never been in the shop for anything but service I love the fact on these it's every 10k miles for oil change verses 3k-4k I like Toyota and Lexus but their styling needs a upgrade but mechanical and longevity wise they are also awesome vehicles I actually been having my eye on the Lexus LS350 sport sedan it's absolutely beautiful kinda reminds of the BMW which I absolutely would NEVER own again😀also great vehicles but the maintenance is insane on those ....but yes Volvo is my favorite this is my 5th one but second XC90 I love them and they are very safe, well built and reliable....GOODLUCK in your search
I love they’re still offering this. Kinda obviously it’s a last minute decision to stretch the EV transition, but nonetheless it still looks fresh and timeless as ever.
Great video. Immediate impressions; nice & elegant. But Volvo designers have not come up with a new style for that infotainment (looks like an iPad) and the rear lights on their SUVs hasn’t changed for years- enough with that huge question mark. They’re probably the same designers Honda used, who were also once stuck with the same look on the CRV rear lights.
if they were just gonna stick the screen on like that, they may as well have just leaned into it and given people the bigger one. its already sticking out like the afterthought that it is
The tablet screen looks not bad. Looks like Volvo did a better job than many others so it's fine with me. However, Volvo still could use thinner bezels and make the actual screen larger.
For similar money I’d go for the Lexus TX 450h+because I trust Toyota with hybrids and the V6 sounds like a good option. Or for a lot less the Mazda cx90 phev. I much prefer the way these two do the physical controls and the screens. The Volvo system that looks to require two taps for each adjustment is a head scratcher to me. And it looks like an after market screen. I love the Volvo body style though.
Think it’s the best implementation of a late state refresh I’ve seen yet. I do hope they continue this rollout plan of SPA2 + refresh of SPA1, as a refresh to get a T8 V90 or air suspension T8 V60 would be amazing. If they do a wagon based on an ES90, even better.
I'm very disappointed. How many years have passed since the suv came out, and we get an extremely small update, just a new bumper and just a little bigger screen. 👎
I like it but it’s priced way too high for a fwd based premium product. It’s needs to get its pricing in line with Acura. I would not buy the plug in hybrid which means it has 290hp which competes with the base MDX. Pricing should be similar
I'm still so sick of carmakers who bother attaching the mirrors to the door, but yet don't bother to open up the blind area of the a-pillar in front of them. Why bother?!
100k for a front wheel drive 4 cylinder .... I don't understand Edit :- by front wheel drive I mean the front wheel is biased as the engine is mounted transversely and I don't have the patience to understand if this has a mechanical haldex based AWD or nit
Volvo did a good job in design which is elegant simple sleek unlike bwm design which is overdoing not class and no taste. Benz design also not fantastic
Don’t get me wrong, this is very nice but that had almost 10 years to do a refresh and they failed. In my opinion, the should’ve pulled a BMW and made a platform that is used to electric and ICE. The new EX90 is beautiful, imagine the XC90 looking the same but with an actual functioning grille…
@@barryw9473 would be nice, but obviously there would be pros and cons for developing a PHEV with that much additional range (cost, weight, reduced efficiency, impacts on handling and performance, etc).
As an XC90 Inscription owner, I'm so happy they didn’t screw it up! Its design is still beautifully classic and timeless. ❤
As the current owner of a 2023 XC 60 I found this GORGEOUS!! Good thing they didn’t mess the basic design because it ages beautifully.
LOL Volvos may do many things, but 'age beautifully' is not one of them. As you're about to find out.

That info screen is just a horror show the way it looks stuck on with velcro.
There's no infotainment velcro adhesive.

It definitely looks “stuck on”.
It’s only $83K, guys! 😂
It does look kinda OUT OF PLACE thar way for sure
We bought a 2024 T8 plug in Hybrid T8 loaded. I'm impressed at the power, handling and sound proofing
Wheels are too big and the tires are too low-profile. I hope one day the automotive industry stops with this lunacy.
People like them. If you don’t then just pick a different wheel or perhaps a different car
That's what make it look sleek and sexy to me😮I love it

This refresh looks great. Love the design and the OS update seems solid.
Front grill looks too busy.
This still looks really elegant. Inside and out and behind the wheel
Holy shit the grill is actually an open grill. Never thought I'd see one of those again.
This exterior looks so damn good. I just wish they’d update the infotainment to a horizontal screen.
I really like that revised grille. Reminds me of a striped suit, viewed from the front.
Such a timeless design, the update is just right

So, new grill, new wheels, and new center screen?
entire a new dash, center console, door design, sound isolation and I think the suspension is improved too. It’s pretty substantial once added up
Wow....3 bots off the jump.
New grill is too wide, clutters up the swanky new headlights. Looks like Mazda, whoops. No LR PHEV? Whoops.
A bigger screen would have fit great if not for the stupidly huge bezel from 2010. Love our XC90 but our next SUV will be a Rivian.
It's okay looking, I feel the last 0.5 gen is better looking, with pretty much the same specs. i would go for that one.

Brands really need to bring cars without standard rear window tints
My future car 🤝❤️
Looks like Pebble Beach!
To anyone who owns a Volvo….. how is the dependability of the brand? Can it be grouped with say a Lexus for dependability and life expectancy?
I’m sure the old screen is still behind the new one
Oh, my gawd! Look at that screen! 😂😂😂
I'm still so sick of carmakers who bother attaching the mirrors to the door, but yet don't bother to open up the blind area of the a-pillar in front of them. Why bother?!
What do you mean by open up the blind area? What do you think they should have or could have done differently?
Do you mean that, if not used as attachment point for the mirror, the A-pillar would be better placed somewhere else?
Yeah. It would be better if the small black triangle is clear glass. Much cheaper Subaru Forester is doing it right so Volvo has no excuse.
