Another thing to note about that soup commercial is that Orndorf, the guy who's eating the soup the right way, is the one that's getting the heel heat, in favour of Piper, who still chooses to eat soup the wrong way.
Remember kids, if you ever become a famous wrestling celebrity don't say racial slurs on a sex tape or else you'll have to film commercials half-naked in front of internet reviewers just to get attention.
Nothing beats Kevin Nash's commercial for Monster Truck Madness, he was so off his face he didn't even know he had done it until somebody showed it to him a couple of years ago XD
The only John Cena commercial I can remember is when he smacked in the chest Vince with a chair during a razor commercial. That was actually hilarious and I still chuckle to myself when I think about it.
lol Zane, this episode proves that you are a dork..... and you are a superior and wrestling's version of Doug Walker. Thanks for making me laugh, brotha.
There's one British commercial you could add to this list. UK wrestling legend Giant Haystacks (who briefly wrestled for WCW as Loch Ness) once advertised Skips potato chips on British TV. The joke was that this massive man had to pretend to be 'dainty'.
I love hearing your thoughts on commercials now that I know your job is making commercials. I saw the segment on the news for the station you work for. You rock Brian.
Wrestling With Wregret that's awesome, glad you are able to do it as a full-time job. Still have a great perspective on commercials as someone who has made them, I love it.
For a second I thought Jerry's eyesight commercial was going to end *WITHOUT* saying the phone number out loud! THAT WOULD HAVE MADE IT REALLY TERRIBLE LOL.
My chronic stomach disease has me in a LOT of pain today. No joke here, just wanted to say thanks for the new videos to take my mind off it. You're doing a good thing, bless you, man. ✌
4:19 I remember this commercial from my childhood. Back then, I was kinda creeped out by it. The local TV channels used to play this one all the time, well into the early-to-mid 2000s.
I'm very disappointed in PumMax for their choice in wrestlers. The obvious choice was to go with Typhoon as the posterboy. That would really have "shocked" the mess away. ;)
It's odd, but it's become my lunch-time tradition to sit down, watch a Wrestling with Wregret video, and eat Kraft Dinner. This could last for a long while, given I discovered this channel not that long ago.
Piper is just playing the stereotype scot, day one you eat the chunky soup with a fork, and get all the chunks, day two you use the spoon for what is left. Simple way to get two meals from one can.
I'm surprised there was no mention of the Hogan Japanese air conditioner advert, The Overstuffed Ravioli add with the Hardy Boyz or the Buff Bagwell Credit Card add
I wish I still had a copy somewhere, but I remember a commercial running in our area (Ashland, KY) show Bobby "Blaze" Smedley on the ropes in one of his matches, cutting over to people in an auto parts store, badly acting out yelling "Blaze, he doesn't buy auto parts at ", cutting over to footage of Blaze hitting his dropkick finisher on his opponent, then back to the auto store, where he's standing with the owners. He's a local boy to the area, so I suspect it was something done as much as a favor as anything else, but I remember finding it dreadfully surreal as a child, although not nearly as much as the one day when Blaze was a substitute teacher at the middle school.
+Wrestling With Wregret With me living in Australia, I never got to see these commercials unless they were screened during a WWF Superstars or RAW IS WAR broadcast, like the Slim Jim ads. Looking at them for the first time through this video, I am actually glad I didn't get to. Although that Chunky Soup commercial with Rowdy Roddy Piper and Mr. Wonderful looks very interesting.
+TheSoniczfan I prefer old NC where the skits would be 3 minutes.and he would get back on with the review but im fine with new NC most of time also love the SP profile pic.
The Busta Rhymes dub over Capt. Lou is still my favourite part!
+Dexenation Gracey curious... what song is that from anyway?
ClexYoshi I'm trying to,find out myself, but typing in Busta lyrics on Google is hard.
I found it! It's Busta Rhymes ft. Twista - Can You Keep Up?
Lol yeah that was great!
1:49 was my favourite part!
HAHA!
John Cena doesn't sell anything. Silly Brian.
+Kerbewm What are you talking about? John Cena sells blows from Nikki Bella every night!
+Forrest Kaysen omg xD
+Forrest Kaysen thats impressive. alberto del rio cant even sell his blows from nikki
+Kerbewm Cena haters don't sell Cena for anything, but CM Puke sells the AA
+Forrest Kaysen Almost, he still kicks out at two. Hence why Nikki isn't pregnant yet
It's almost two years since this video was posted and Jay Lethal is STILL doing those same ads during ROH TV commercial breaks.
CENA should do that Lawler advert Now: "You can't see me?! Then Call Us NOW!!" Do-do-do-Dooooo
W
Imposter
1:49 it laugh me
Another thing to note about that soup commercial is that Orndorf, the guy who's eating the soup the right way, is the one that's getting the heel heat, in favour of Piper, who still chooses to eat soup the wrong way.
The Captain Lou bit at 1:51 was hilarious. Also i LOVE that reference to that misquoted line from Super Mario Bros when he appears at 4:13. Gold!
Remember kids, if you ever become a famous wrestling celebrity don't say racial slurs on a sex tape or else you'll have to film commercials half-naked in front of internet reviewers just to get attention.
the Jay Lethal ad I see about three times every Sunday morning
I'm gonna give them a call. I could use a knee brace.
+Ric Ancira I could use a wrist base
I think my mom needs one. I'll give them a call
For some reason, Piper screaming out, "Fork!", Made me laugh uncontrollably.
Nothing beats Kevin Nash's commercial for Monster Truck Madness, he was so off his face he didn't even know he had done it until somebody showed it to him a couple of years ago XD
Jay Lethal selling knee braces is way less entertaining than Mark Briscoe talking about prostates
Almost six years later, the fuck you Luigi bit still makes me laugh like few other things
5:06 Chunky soup and a fork? Is this a soup commercial or a Jon Moxley promo?
+Ellen Madigan I haven't seen many Moxley promos but this sounds way too out there for me.
team fork
You always have the best outro songs.
I always look forward to them
I'm not gonna lie, that Busta Rhymes thing was hilarious.
What is name of the busta rhymes song
One of the best, if not THE BEST, video you've uploaded. One of my personal favorites. Good job, Brian.
The only John Cena commercial I can remember is when he smacked in the chest Vince with a chair during a razor commercial. That was actually hilarious and I still chuckle to myself when I think about it.
I've seen that Jay lethal commercial every Saturday for at least 2 years now. still throws me off.
In Pittsburgh there's a Bruno commercial for the dentistry we see it every time the news is on lol
A young Britt Baker probably watched that commercial lol
lol Zane, this episode proves that you are a dork.....
and you are a superior and wrestling's version of Doug Walker.
At least the WWF did produce my all time favourite commercial with their "Good, wholesome family entertainment" Superbowl ad.
0:57 'but you would need a super keen ear, in order to point that out' 😂😂😂😂
I love hearing your thoughts on commercials now that I know your job is making commercials. I saw the segment on the news for the station you work for. You rock Brian.
My job WAS making commercials. I do UA-cam full-time now. :)
Wrestling With Wregret that's awesome, glad you are able to do it as a full-time job. Still have a great perspective on commercials as someone who has made them, I love it.
Loved that Honey Comb commercial, brings back memories. It actually came out when he did his heel turn.
Don't forget Hogan's commercials for Rent-a-Center.
Is it just me or Pipper yelled out fuck instead of fork if so then FUCK, SPOON!!!!! (5:27)
So great when you go on UA-cam and theres a new WWW video uploaded
For a second I thought Jerry's eyesight commercial was going to end *WITHOUT* saying the phone number out loud! THAT WOULD HAVE MADE IT REALLY TERRIBLE LOL.
My chronic stomach disease has me in a LOT of pain today.
No joke here, just wanted to say thanks for the new videos to take my mind off it. You're doing a good thing, bless you, man. ✌
Btw, that's no joke a pretty good Hulkster impression. And you're right, that scandal was dumb.
+Mychael Darklighter Glad I could help!
"Have you ever closed your eyes for a moment and tried to imagine what it would be like if you couldn't see? Well I have"
... *LMFAO!* * dead
The Hulkster looked like he had a Banana Peel glued to his face, Brother! *rips shirt & flexes*
Paul Orndorff, the original Tick...."Spoon!!" lol
captain lou and bruno sanmartino look like the are going to drop the most lit mixtape of the 90's
This is by far my favourite channel these days!
Brian Zane is awesome
That soup ad reminded me of Barney Gumble knocking out Wade Boggs over who was England's best prime minister for some reason.
Ah BZ does it again. Good stuff fella. Even though I'm a hogan fan (as we discussed on Facebook the other day) your impression was spot on, BROTHER!
4:19 I remember this commercial from my childhood. Back then, I was kinda creeped out by it. The local TV channels used to play this one all the time, well into the early-to-mid 2000s.
I thought I was gonna see the Hulk Hogan ultimate grill. Back when I was terminally unemployed, I saw that infomercial hundreds of times.
I'm very disappointed in PumMax for their choice in wrestlers. The obvious choice was to go with Typhoon as the posterboy. That would really have "shocked" the mess away. ;)
+manband20 Tugboat also would have crashed through a wall like Hulkster did!
+manband20 that was terriable xD
If they wanted The Cleaner they should've got Omega instead
Alexander Silady or the shock master
manband20 and he busted though the wall
gay marriage to the Bible Belt was quite funny
The End of Lawlers commercial was commonplace in the early to mid 80s.
I love how the hulk hogan music comes in and the PTSD from hostamania is visible on Brian’s face
In the late 70's and early 80's you saw a lot of freeze frame endings for local commercials.
I love John Cena schilling for CapriSun.... 100% Juice... That's how he gets so strong.
Damn you Zane! I lost my mouthful of food on the Hulk sized suppositories!
What about those Chef Boyardee commercials starring Mick Foley?
"Mmmm Beefy."
"It's the perfect ravioli for all Mankind"
lol easily one of the funniest vids you've done to date zane!! keep up the awesome content
That ending slayed me! Also, who did that "Hell to the No" song?
I thought you were saving the Macho Man for the grand finale!!! "SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM" !!!!!!!!!!!
Youuu! need to talk about more of my commercials brother. LMAO!!!!
They Jay Lethal commercial is the best thing ever.
I'm surprised there was no mention of the Hogan Japanese air conditioner advert, The Overstuffed Ravioli add with the Hardy Boyz or the Buff Bagwell Credit Card add
+Craig Palmer Did the AC one in the first batch of commercials.
+Gunnar Schachtner And yet, he completely snubbed Hulkster's 10-10-2-20 ad with ALF.
Just did the Hardys one recently in part 4. Complete with a golden broken matt impression
Thanks for the vid Zane. No Turkey for me today, just work. This made my day better
The ending 😂 great video as always
motor oil?
they told me it was tanning oil that's why I look so dark and shiny..lol😂😂😂
Why would I have to imagine what it's like to not see if I have my eyes closed? My eyes would be closed. I would not be able to see.
Bodybuilder Cena in the Gold's Gym Commercial is an interesting Footnote in his career.
Hogan in that Japanese commercial selling an air conditioner (or something) is my favorite.
Hell to the naaaaawwwww
4:12 "Oh f*ck you, Luigi!" Nice reference, Mr. Zane.
hell to the na na LMFAO
Maybe the motor oil is the reason Hulk Hogan botched the flame spot with The Warrior in Halloween Havoc 1998.
This is probably the only time that I've heard the classic "slow mo noooooooo!" on this show
I've watched a good number of your videos, and all are quality episodes. Subscribed!
Literal LOL @ FourLoko
best video yet brian! loved it
always wanted you to do one more of these!
I'm arabian and i couldn't understand a word hogan said
Jad Haidar: Welcome to the club. Think about how hard it is for us English speakers to understand him when he's talking full speed.
Dude i need one of those brett hart simpson toys you have in the background
Silly Vegeta the only thing Recoome sells...IS MERCHANDISE!
Black Machismo is selling me something?
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!
*"Ah, actually, he's not done that gimmick since-"*
I DON'T CARE!!!
tell me about it dude jack
that cracked me up!
Triple H is a turkey! HA! You forgot the shovel garnish.
I swear Ventura's voice could get me to buy anything xD
that captain Lou rap gets me every time.
How have you done two of these and not mention The John Cena Fruity Pebbles commercial
3:20 - I saw that one the only yesterday. I couldn't believe that one.
Let's be real, if Hulk Hogan could sell gay rights to the Bible belt, he should probably be regarded as a national hero.
Well he once said he was the right gay guy in the right place at the wrong-at the right time.
Happy thanksgiving to you Brian! Have a good day! and as always nice video.
Jerry Lawler throwing fireballs HAHAHA wtf
Same here, what the hell was that about ? I remember hearing of Kane throwing some as well.
I see that Jay Lethal ad on Saturday nights during ROH wrestling. I think it's funny.
Now he can add LA Knight’s Aldi commercial
I heard that the turkey at the end is gonna win the title from sheamus....
I saw the Reno sign, googled it, and realized you live in my area. I would have never guessed, oh my god.
Nice! Be sure to check me out the next time Classic Pro Wrestling comes to the Knitting Factory!
BRIANNN HAPPY THANKSGIVING BRO!
6:17 Inspired by the Shockmaster
lawlers voice has changed so much
+wes dryden To be fair, his "normal talking voice" is a lot different than his "yelling announcer voice"!
Wrestling With Wregret does he piss you off too now? used to find him funny but now he just pisses me off
Wrestling With Wregret oh and just because i know you will see this, i love your work! helped me get back into wrestling in general dude, thanks.
wes dryden Don't mention it! And yeah, the Lawler of today is pretty lame compared to when he had the venom at commentary!
Wrestling With Wregret i agree was good speaking to you
Because Brian, Captain Lou passed away a long time ago. RIP Captain Lou.
Pretty good video. Hope you do a collab with nostalgia critic someday
2:23 What's he selling? Not his opponent's finisher. :P
This was one of my favorites, this and the game show episode.
this made thanksgiving so much better
the nostalgic critic is coming for you cause you stole his commercial gimmick 😂😂😂
That's his whole channel 😂
+TheSoniczfan I prefer old NC where the skits would be 3 minutes.and he would get back on with the review but im fine with new NC most of time also love the SP profile pic.
🍩
The song in the Captain Lou bit was "Can You Keep Up?" By Busta Rhymes featuring Twista
You should team up with "The Spoony One" (Noah Antwiler) for an episode or 2...that would be pretty cool.
Bishop Bullwinkle!!!
