@nitishlondhe the way he talks to the woman at the start, opening up too soon, idealising the woman, being desperate for company, are unfortunately the characteristics of a simp. Maybe also the characteristics of a deep thinker, fervent introvert, who is out of touch, to put a positive spin on it.
Beautiful story. I can't believe how much I relate to him. I too loved a woman who feverishly gave her heart to me when it already belonged to another. When she had realized it she departed but not before giving me one last kiss. Dostoevsky you truly are an amazing writer. God bless
White Nights in Saint Petersburg happen in June. Saint Petersburg is on the same latitude as Norway and that means that in apex of summer Sun sets for a hour or so. But there's winter in picture.
I don’t know how to be silent when my heart is speaking.
I clap!

@@bz.t2742 Don't get me wrong, lonely men are not deep thinkers. They are desperate. That's human Nature.
@nitishlondhe the main character thinks a lot and lives in his head.

From Which translation you read please?
I've been following along with a text translated from Constance Garnett on Project Gutenberg so I assume that one.
