G’day AMC…can you consider doing a vlog on the recent takeover of Reliance by Transdev? Be great seeing some of those former Reliance vehicles now under the ownership of Transdev, as we all know Reliance was a very popular operator in the eyes of enthusiasts like us.
Nice one mate been expecting this Video for a while I remember getting on the MX58s when they had just transferred 19426 being the first one I had Recorded.
Miss driving most of especially 19476 .. it’s a very nippy bus… even though quite a lot of Tridents have gone Metroline still have a lot of ex stagecoach tridents
In my opinion; Stagecoach Yorkshire as the district should give Barnsley Depot some new busses, whether they are from Manchester or not, a good few E400H’s would do Barnsley perfectly. - Sheffield has enough new busses.
@PowerGMedia Even when the ULEZ process begins, which technically has done in certain areas a couple of years ago. Unfortunately you will still not see any Enviro400Hybrids.
@PowerGMedia Firstly Barnsley depot such as the engineering and drivers need training with them as they have never been allocated there before And with the amount that have just left the fleet, no more will come back mate. Lovely and nippy though, shame to see the back of them but they cost too much to run.
From an enthusiasts point of view it's great, from a public transport point of view, it is very poor. I am both a user and enthusiast so can see both sides. By now 58/09 plates should be coming off the road by now, or being preserved. 16-17 year old buses in a city the size of Sheffield is quite poor really, lets be honest. An aging fleet means costly maintenance, which is from the number of breakdowns I have heard of recently only carried out to the minimum level. The industry has really lost it's way since Covid in my view. Services often are dropped because of a shortage of buses, timetables are not timed properly, which means they often run late. Then you get on a bus to travel 16 miles and can see your breath all the way there because it is so cold onboard. None of this is the fault of drivers. I heard my local depot had double figure buses off the road the other day. I am all for keeping them going for the enthusiast side, if they are properly looked after and maintained.
Cool E400 trident buses
Nice one. Down in the South we have sone Ex-Manchester E400 Tridents too.
Grimsby Got a couple of ex-Manchester E400 such as 19531
@FiremanSamBoy2008 Sadly Our Current E400s in Grimsby Are getting replaced with 67 Plate MMCs From Scotland According to one of drivers

You will not be seeing any Enviro400Hybrids at Barnsley.
@ most likely not until Barnsley becomes Ulez 6 complaint. Hopefully sooner though. I’ve been speaking to bus drivers in depots about it:

@@robinsbusvideos Not contradicting your thoughts, but why do you think this?
