Hey Jon! I'm pleasantly surprised you came across this video! Massive fan of your instagram pages! Both your regular one and @neondemonstudio. Keep up the amazing creations! It inspires me to work harder!
I do love how semi bullet proof these things can be, in thefirst month of owning my hero 9, I dropped it 3x times off my ebike while driving 20 mph.... don't worry, it's fine!
Been using these cameras for years!! My favorite is adding it places where animals frequent than getting passing shots of them. Also get a remote so you can hit REC remotely, works great on fishing boats for example!
Getting a remote for my Gopro changed my life! I kept losing footage because I couldn't tell if it was on, if it ACTUALLY started recording or when it was about to run out of power/storage. If you have a Gopro that's mounted on a helmet, I think it's necessary.
Exactly as you say - I have a GoPro that's hidden away under lots of other gear. I should put it somewhere that is easily accessible and get a bit creative with it! Only just realised that you have surpassed the 1k benchmark so massive congrats Jon. Keep making your awesome stuff man!
Thank you Matt! 1K whoo! Thanks to people like you! Yeah gopros can also be made to look really good. I remember I came across a biker on youtube maybe a year ago, who's footage was absolutely gorgeous , and he was using the gopro 4! In a time when gopro 7 black exists. The marketing hype can definitely get overwhelming, but gopro's don't improve that much to be honest
As always, excellent tips! It´s so easy to overlook especially that point you made well that it can give unique perspectives as you can mount it in the unlikeliest locations :)
It's crazy how common this is! Shows how good gopro are at marketing these things. We're sold the dream of looking insanely cool but in the end it's just a small camera
It's not illegal to fly over a road with a drone. You just can't travel over moving vehicles. You can fly over road as long as it's just a single transition.
Oh it's so amazing, Jon... I had never thought of using a Go Pro before and you provide so many entertaining inspirational possibilities. You literally conjure them out of your spell in a very entertaining way. I'd like to have a solution to record concert events classic, but also rock concerts on big and small stages totally unobtrusively. I hate to film with my mobile phone and only half enjoy the concert... Maybe you have an idea of how to do it? Anyway, I would be very happy. All my love!
Thank you so much!!! I've filmed concerts a lot before! Specifically heavy metal ones. They're very tricky to film! An unexpected issue I had was that the rumbling from the bass would shake and rattle the camera tripod haha. Concerts also have low light, so usually regular phones or gopros won't cut it since they don't perform well in low light. Yes I think that filming a concert handheld is really difficult if you're also trying to enjoy the concert. My suggestion would be to mount your phone or whatever camera you use, somewhere near the stage. Try to get an angle that shows off the entire stage. If there is a mixing board, you can plug in a sound recorder to get really good audio. Make sure to lock the exposure on the camera too. Otherwise it will try to adjust every time the lights change. For best results however it's best to have camera operators going around with cameras handheld, Recording multiple viewpoints. Then edit it all together. Here is a concert I edited ua-cam.com/video/-0G-oVYHDtk/v-deo.html For this you would have to hire some videographers probably.
I hope to recreate it sometime! It's very inventive and I almost thought about not releasing this video when I saw it haha. I didn't execute my ideas really well but definitely the gopro has potential
I was living in your same building, much probably a room very close to yours. 4b! Can't believe I randomly watched your video for creativity and discovered you're an Ek crew! Are you still ek?
@@JonBear i resigned about 2 years ago! But I miss my friends in Dubai (not many left) and the lifestyle. I still can't believe I recognized you're crew by the 2 seconds of your broll video. If I hadn't paid attention, i would have missed that detail. I'll subscribe, keep going! ☺️ And good luck for your career in ek!
Thanks for the shout-out man! Definitely recommend trying out the effect sometime, it's a lot of fun.

Absolutely! Tiny waterproof cameras has tons of applications that a regular camera could never ever do

@@RiverSiege I have a doubt can GoPro used as a DSLR . I mean does it cover long shots as usual cameras
I'd like to use mine as either a trail cam when out camping, or in my window looking over the front garden as a security camera hooked up to a PC.

Yes! And it's so small you might as well keep it in your backpack. You never know
@@JonBear precisely!

GoPro's can be tricky to get to look good. But their marketing makes it look effortless haha

One of the few videos I enjoyed on how to use a go pro. Thanks man.

So true....I bought it and now I think my lifestyle sucks...lol
I feel you brother! Well not many people live the way the gopro ads are, and nobody lives like that all the time I bet
@@JonBear Definitely...well I might try few things though after looking at your video 😉
if you own rc car you can get some cool footage, or nerf gun
these use cases are useless for me, im just gonna film some sports with it
Still need a actioncam.... but lights first.... nice video my friend.... when are you going to shoot fooddddd video's .... with your girlfriend....
Thank you brother! aha yeah you're right! I need to do some cooking videos! Maybe I'll put them on my Japanese UA-cam channel! I'll let you know
