Assuming they could flee the rapes and massacres of marauding German mercenaries, they would have to hide in overpopulated, filthy cities which were often breeding grounds for plague. And worst of all, due to the superstition endemic in a feudal society, if they so much as looked funny, their neighbors would blame them by accusing them of witchcraft, likely hanging them from a tree or drowning them in a lake. This scene reminds me of kosem and ahmet , when ahmet was going to sleep with another women named katerina but kosem entered the room ( the scene was great untill she entered the room) but then she immediately kissed him and get into him, but she should have done what farya has done but she wasn't brave enough to talk to ahmet, at least that night, then she kept him from sleeping with another women by sleeping with him herself, that's not right!!
I mean....Sanavber has a point? It's a cruel one and I'm surprised she dared say it so openly to a sultana, but she's also fundamentally not wrong. The function of the harem, outside of being a secluded place for the women associated with the sultan, was to entertain the sultan and provide children for the empire. So, especially while Murad only has one living child, it's very naive for Farya to assume that because of her rank, all harem women will be turned away.

Also Murad had a second Haseki Sultan late in his reign , probably Şemsişah (Şemsperi) Sultan a Christian Princess from Georgia who becomes Murad's wedded wife and she stays with him till the end of his life - who Farya is based on.
Incredible performance by these 2 wonderful actors (Farah & Metin). Bravo. Farya's theme song could be "Who Wants to Live Forever " by Queen. She's not afraid to put her life on the line. But what is Murad even thinking here? Farya is so beautiful, brave, loving & devoted to him. He is incredibly fortunate to have even found her. Personally, I think Farya should have walked out on Murad when he first brought Sanavber Hatun back with him. Then if Murad truly loves Farya, as the show hints, his only choice would be to send Sanavber away if he wanted to keep her.

I don't think it's naivety at this point. I suspect she is staying because she is extremely loyal & sees it as her duty as his wife to stay & support him, & because she still loves him & hopes to win him back. Remember Farya does not know much about what is happening outside the palace. She doesn't have a spy network or lots of influential contacts like Kosem does and Murad never confides in her about politics.
People misunderstand, Farya hates all this coz Murad promised to love her and married her, so its not being hypocritical. Marriage is different than being the slave favourite. For example had Murad loved Ayse he would have married her.

If you showed me the Murad from the first clip and told me that there's a scene in the show where his wife freaks out on him, breaking stuff and threatening to kill him and herself etc. I would have imagined a much more... violent reaction.

Very different times in Murad’s life & what is going on is really different. In this clip he is being called out for his own bad actions by a beloved & devoted wife. The Kasim clip happens after everyone he loves including his wife have been murdered or died & he is enraged because his mother & brother have betrayed him.
Sanavber Hatun, a spy of the enemy goes around healing members of the royal family while Farya, the Sultan's favourite goes around hurting people and spreading discord and discontentment in the family and even ruining the life of the Sultan's wife Ayse.
The sheer difference when one comes into the alace with a clear purpose (Senevber) and without a clear purpose (Farya). Lets not kid, from a princess to become an impromptu wife of a Sultan, is not a good planning.
Well actually no. If you watch closely, there is an episode a bit after this where Sanavber is secretly poisoning Kosem to the point where Kosem is on the verge of death. And in fact it is Farya who saves Kosem by exposing Sanavber as a spy at the last moment which forces Sanavber to reverse the poisoning. And I think it's mainly Ayse who ruins her own life with an assist from Murad. Farya also saved Murad's life when he was about to be backstabbed by a rebellious saphie and Atike's life after she tried to poison herself. The only discord Farya ever causes with the royal family is because of Ayse's shenanigans against her including Ayse arranging to have Farya's unborn baby murdered plus once early on when she is blackmailed
But Sanavber Hatun is in league with Sinnan Pasha & Gulbahar Sultan and she poisons Kosem. Whereas Farya has saved Murad's life, Atike's life and a couple of episodes after this scene she saves Kosem's life

It's a shame that Ayse was locked away & Gulbahar was put in the dungeon just when Sanavber arrived. Would have been awesome to see the interactions, scheming, plots and alliances between the sultanas / favorites if all of them were in the harem at the same time.

I mean....Sanavber has a point? It's a cruel one and I'm surprised she dared say it so openly to a sultana, but she's also fundamentally not wrong. The function of the harem, outside of being a secluded place for the women associated with the sultan, was to entertain the sultan and provide children for the empire. So, especially while Murad only has one living child, it's very naive for Farya to assume that because of her rank, all harem women will be turned away.

Later he married Farya so she stopped to be lover. Ayse was jealous, I understand her she was in love with Murad but if I have to choose a side that is Farya. Ayse treated Farya unfairly. She start the "war" and even kill her own baby. So Farya become angry. But when Fraya is jealous you blame her. She renounced the throne(actually Murad took it), her family and her nation for Murad.She is a jealous character and cannot accept that Murad, who on the same day says he loves her, sleeps with someone else in the evening, and for the second time. Some of you are staying that she is a fictional character, which I don't understand what this has to do with the show. It is a show not documentary. It is made for more drama and this is not something bad. I know in the real life Ayse was the love of his life.
Agree with your comment except that not everyone dislikes Farya. As some of the comments here show, a lot of fans love Farya. Also Murad had a second Haseki Sultan late in his reign , probably Şemsişah (Şemsperi) Sultan a Christian Princess from Georgia who becomes Murad's wedded wife and she stays with him till the end of his life - who Farya is based on.

Incredible performance by these 2 wonderful actors (Farah & Metin). Bravo. Farya's theme song could be "Who Wants to Live Forever " by Queen. She's not afraid to put her life on the line. But what is Murad even thinking here? Farya is so beautiful, brave, loving & devoted to him. He is incredibly fortunate to have even found her. Personally, I think Farya should have walked out on Murad when he first brought Sanavber Hatun back with him. Then if Murad truly loves Farya, as the show hints, his only choice would be to send Sanavber away if he wanted to keep her.

I suspect she is staying because she is extremely loyal & sees it as her duty as his wife to stay & support him, & because she still loves him & hopes to win him back. Remember Farya does not know much about what is happening outside the palace. She doesn't have a spy network or lots of influential contacts like Kosem does and Murad never confides in her about politics.

Lol watching the clip "Sultan Murad Busts Into Kasım's Crowning Ceremony" and then this one without having any further context about Murad's character is so weird, I could barely tell it's the same character. If you showed me the Murad from the first clip and told me that there's a scene in the show where his wife freaks out on him, breaking stuff and threatening to kill him and herself etc. I would have imagined a much more... violent reaction.
I know right, in those scenes he looks like the most ultimate, menacing, Ottoman Sultan-looking guy I've seen, like an absolute brutal warlord, but take away his rage and turban and he looks like a Nordic-looking pretty boy with a beard lmao. Testament to the guy's acting I guess, he can really show the human and Sultan side of Murad.
Very different times in Murad’s life & what is going on is really different. In this clip he is being called out for his own bad actions by a beloved & devoted wife. The Kasim clip happens after everyone he loves including his wife have been murdered or died & he is enraged because his mother & brother have betrayed him.
Sanavber Hatun, a spy of the enemy goes around healing members of the royal family while Farya, the Sultan's favourite goes around hurting people and spreading discord and discontentment in the family and even ruining the life of the Sultan's wife Ayse.
The sheer difference when one comes into the alace with a clear purpose (Senevber) and without a clear purpose (Farya). Lets not kid, from a princess to become an impromptu wife of a Sultan, is not a good planning.
Well actually no. If you watch closely, there is an episode a bit after this where Sanavber is secretly poisoning Kosem to the point where Kosem is on the verge of death. And in fact it is Farya who saves Kosem by exposing Sanavber as a spy at the last moment which forces Sanavber to reverse the poisoning. And I think it's mainly Ayse who ruins her own life with an assist from Murad. Farya also saved Murad's life when he was about to be backstabbed by a rebellious saphie and Atike's life after she tried to poison herself. The only discord Farya ever causes with the royal family is because of Ayse's shenanigans against her including Ayse arranging to have Farya's unborn baby murdered plus once early on when she is blackmailed
But Sanavber Hatun is in league with Sinnan Pasha & Gulbahar Sultan and she poisons Kosem. Whereas Farya has saved Murad's life, Atike's life and a couple of episodes after this scene she saves Kosem's life

Plus Farya never have intention to hurt anyone even they attacked her in so many ways including kosem herself who does not have a fair judgement that she forgot, she was just like her at the beginning. Oh Farya is better than an early kosem when she called Anastasia. Farya have some capabilities n dignity to stand for herself n speak her mind out even toward Murad n kosem.
Farya also keep her faith n never convert till she dies. Better than the rest.

I doubt Murad thinks Sanavber can take Farya's place. Murad probably just thinks Farya will put up with it like Ayse did. But unlike Ayse, Farya doesn't attack the other woman. She confronts the sultan instead - probably knowing it may cost her life. She doesn't even blame the other woman because she knows it's not her fault. It's a shame that Ayse was locked away & Gulbahar was put in the dungeon just when Sanavber arrived. Would have been awesome to see the interactions, scheming, plots and alliances between the sultanas / favorites if all of them were in the harem at the same time.

Farya can demand fidelity because she is his legal wife and her condition was that she will be the only woman. Ayse is a concubine so that means she’s a slave and therefore has no right to demand fidelity from Murad. Part of being a concubine of the harem is sharing the sultan with other women whether Ayse likes it or not.
