- Let'stalk about the @SCUBAPRO Seawing Supernova dive fins! They're an updated version of the Seawing Nova fins with a super cool feature that makes the foot pockets detacheable. Easier for travel or for changing fin style.Full disclosure: A friend did send me the fins for review.

Has anybody already tried the @scubapro Seawing Supernova fins?
Yes and love them... from diving boardshorts all the way to drysuit.
I tried the Seawing Supernova's and I loved them. But I love my Apeks RK3's even more so no need for me to change fins! My wife, however, is ONE with her pair of Supernova's...
@@pellelidell007 Yeah I have the supernovas and the Jetfins. I use the supernovas for low maintenance work and the Jetfins for heavy duty, like Tec diving or drysuit.
Just bought one pair now
And it's really really nice ❤❤❤
Loved the original Seawing Nova
I have been using these for a few months, been super happy with them. Also, have full foot pockets, and they have been great for teaching. I think they are a good upgrade from the regular Nova, much better with things like frog kicks.
Yes the thorough engineering definitely paid off on these!!
What size are your shoes? Did you get the true to fit size of open fins? For full foot did you get same size as open foot or do you have a recommendation for sizing btw open vs full foot?
im thinking to buy a new pair of fins. I came across one of these, i just don't think it will last at the joints. That is why they ready several spares. Very likely after several kicks / trips, they tend to come off in the water and obvious the attached rubber go missing. I like the idea of two strong axial structures which give flexibility and energy saving. I realised that i have weak legs thats why im looking for something like this. open joints but not detachable / shorter in length.
This video is frustrating, because there's about 1 minute worth of review, and 6 minutes worth of this guy talking about himself and his house and his youtube studio. Also, the big question we all want to know, is how they feel while diving, and how they compare to other fins. I didn't get my answer from this video.
That's fair! Thank you for the feedback. Let me answer it in the comments, now that I've been using them for a couple months!
The do indeed kick really well, as advertised and they're great on the ankles but there's a big caveat. They work best if you're somewhat streamlined already. So I would 100% recommend them if you're diving light, for travel or in warmer water, pool etc. If you're Tec diving or are simply quite bulky in your set up, I find them too flexible to provide adequate propulsion. In that case I'd rather go towards a jetfin or something.
Hopefully that helps! UA-cam Studio also still not ready 🤣
thanks for this review and the test.. my question is what's your opinion about " Scubapr Go Sport fin" ? are they really good compared to the Supernova ? thanks
I think the supernova is much better than the Go Sport. It just kicks easier and is more performant.
@@DiveSAGA thanks a lot for you advice.
cool review, I wanted to get a pair for sometime. is it worth it? I use RK3 HD how would you compare them?
They're very different. RK3 are a lot stiffer and perhaps more what I was saying at the end for Sidemount or Tec. If you like those for recreational diving, I wouldn't immediately switch to the supernovas without trying them first.
Why only a 2 year warranty but the novas have a lifetime. Doesn’t make sense.
Supposed to kick better? These fins are heavy. Before buying check the weight. Also positive it seems in the water…not for everyone. A final note quite long. In a zodiac boat would be uncomfortable
I haven't weighed them but they seem to be similar in weight to my Mares Extremes which are not heavy
what didn't you like about the novas?
For me personally they felt a bit flimsy. The super novas are just a bit more rigid I find.
@@DiveSAGA thanks for your opinion! I still have my mares avanti superchannel I bought before I did my DM in utila 15 years ago and thinking maybe time to get some new ones... damn, I am getting old. Hard to believe it's so long ago :(
@@DiveSAGA Do you remember cross creek dive center? Used to be part of UDC. I saw they don't exist anymore. Do you know what happened?
@@deadstock82 I definitely remember. I'm not sure why they ended it to be honest. The area still exists but is used for housing now.
@@DiveSAGA best time of my life. Sometimes regret not also doing the instructor and working in the industry.
It's it positive bouyant?
Yes slightly
i m ready to buy a gift for my father, is this a good choice?
They're decent fins but it also depends what he needs.
dont . get a split fin or sth ezier to kick to protect the knees for the seniors
There’s was nothing about what diving was actually like with them. Did you even use them ?
Yes I did and I like them but ultimately whether they are "good" or not is an entirely subjective valuation. Some people like a stiffer fin, some people like split fins.. hence my explanation of the features and not so much an appraisal of whether I like them.
hahahah cant agree more literally just showed nothing
WHAT A GIMMICK ANOTHER CHACHKI.
