    when i was younger around 12/13, i did roller sets to keep direct heat off my hair and my hair grew significantly within months. We used lotta body and my mom swears by this stuff so maybe check it out! It does make ur hair feel a little crunchy after being under the dryer but wrapping it hells a ton. my only suggestion would be to roll your hair in the direction you want it to lay. i noticed you rolled your sides up which gives that flipped out look, i rolled mines horizontally towards the back (if that makes sense). Still turned out good tho!

    i’m so late to comment on this but i have been doing this method since i watch your video! it’s been a game changer. i’ve also been using rubber bands on each section before using the roller and it has made my roots so much straighter :)

    I love this series! My hair is 100% virgin and I used to straighten it in the past and it always burned even at 200°. My hair is also thin/fine like yours and this would really help. I don't see myself straightening my hair any time soon because I hate not having any volume (I barely have any volume anyways so straightening it makes it completely flat) and it feels weighed down when I try to moisturize it with oil. I hope to see more videos like this because I would love to be able to achieve a straight style WITHOUT any heat. Much love from my heart to yours. 💘💘💘💘💘

    My stylist just told me about these foams, I'm so excited to try them because I am sick of blowdrying and flat ironing my life away, the heat damage is REAL. If these kind of products will help my curls recover and my hair grow I'm here for it!

    Instead of just wrapping,try the saran wrap after the rollerset.That's what I do,I'm a 3B 3A.

  • @dimpalz1
    @dimpalz1 7 років тому +11

    If you want the hair straighter/less textured, pull the hair through the velcro roller like you did with the brush, i.e. put the roller on the hair by the root and pull it to the tip then roll back down, so it straightens it out more.
    You'll get straighter hair, but obviously it'll have less body #finehairgirlproblems (I agree, this attempt was a lot better and it probably dried faster because the hair is separated)

  • @msvalgo

    Great results. The only thing I see you didnt do that other people have done was use Saran Wrap after wrapping the hair, then sit under the dryer for about 10-15 more min. It MAY come out flatter, unless you like the full look. Either way it was great for a first try.

  • @FrancesZenobia_

    I used to have straight/ wavy hair until I got sick. My hair turned into Lolita curls and I hate them. I would straighten it everyday and get straight perms. My hair was falling out in chunks. I'm currently testing out rollers on my hair instead of using heat. Will use this for help thanks!

    • @HorrorHousewife
      @HorrorHousewife 5 років тому +4

      Cocoa Bean I’ve been roller setting my hair for years, and my hair looks just as good when I let it air dry, or sleep on comfortable rollers and take them out in the morning. I usually only sit under the dryer if I’m pressed for time, or if I do the silk wrap with saran wrap. Silk wraps typically do enhance the look, but I don’t always do that either.

      Your hair came out beautifully. Do you think your hair texture played a part in how your hair came out? I have very coarse 4C hair. Do you think this will work on my hair? Because I'm definitely looking for an alternative to using heat on my hair, and still having straight hair :)

      I would suggest you use the rollers that come with the spikes, it's not as gentle on your hair as with the regular rollers but if you want this look then that's the way to go. I have much more coiler hair and it works magic on my hair, hope this helps!
