Sadly I don't think for much longer that will be the case, I recently lost my whole YT channel where I audio balanced these for sleep, removing all music and anything that seemed like it could be audio balanced. When all 140+ episodes I'd worked on balancing for 3 years got copyright flagged all at once and lost me years of work. Sadly this is happening to alot of channels

@@bradders9743 yeah I still have all the original audios, the Premiere files and the out putted balanced versions (me and my partner and a few friends use them every night to sleep by having them locally stored). I wanted to share them to help others relax and sleep, but what happened to my main channel kind of broke me and I've not had the motivation to do it again after losing years of effort when they could just do it again.
@@LyingSecret I may at some point look at an alternative but I don't want to have any trouble as I was making no money of my channel it was still copyright claimed (even though all of these have been available to download for free for well over a decade now). Like you said it's probably just YT being a UA-cam and hopefully there's another way to share and help others with these 😊
The tomato thing is "half right", its just missing the fine details. They weren't lead plates, but plates made of pewter, which contains lead. The acid in the tomatoes drew out the lead and caused lead poisoning, which people thought was the tomatoes making them ill
Guys ive been watching your stuff for ages now and i kinda see you guys as the most upfront and real reactors you actually seem to get whats behind the content you are watching and dont just give some off hand derisive comments and thats that! This show was indeed the show where Karl and Ricky and steve met and it is infact used by so many people as a sleepaid and for anxiety issues. Karl is still beloved of us brits and the fact you get him and can get on board with the humour is amazing ...thanks for the content

Really appreciate the commitment here to react to such a long video without any visuals. For me the Xfm radio shows blow the podcast and an idiot abroad out of the water. Ricky and Steve aren't prodding Karl with a stick especially in series 1 but just getting to know him and it's crazy how sheltered he was and uneducated in the traditional sense (we all know that he's really very bright) he's now doing some small acting role in UK dramas and he's brilliant. Come a long way.

Sorry if you've already covered it but check out 'Karl Pilkington: Satisfied Fool' and his interaction with Professor Heinz Wolff. He was someone who was often brought onto tv to explain science to viewers. He was what you might call a 'proper' scientist. Continental/Germanic accent, glasses, bald with side tufts of hair. He is introduced to Karl who comes out with some nonsense or other and Heinz kindly and gently tries to explain it to him. Then after more nonsense the mild mannered professor slowly gets more and more annoyed with Karl. Karl is then introduced to English writer Will Self who does not hold back!

That alien story is far more interesting and has a bit more proof behind it than a potentially lying husband. He was working as a logger, with a group of his mates (I think they were just marking trees for felling at the time) when a UFO starts slowly hovering over them. At this point this guy starts walking towards it while his friends are moving away. Then he's abducted. He's then discovered three days later, by those friends out looking for him (I think he was abducted and dropped off at the exact same spot, and they started at that same place each day). Cut to a few years later and the trees that were in direct sight (in something like a 100 yard radius of where the guy was taken from) are all growing bark at a ridiculously accelerated rate. But only on the side that would have been facing the abduction site. Which probably explains why the guy had a full beard after 3 days, and his friends would have been shaving (or trimming already grown facial hair) anyway, explaining why they didn't show the same "symptom".
