I have built these and I am currently still building these kits. Since the original glue that held the Aeroskin to the model’s plastic is almost non-existent nowadays. Dryer up no less. You can use today’s Testors to Tamyia liquefied glues that are bottled and have the brush built into the cap. This works great in holding the skin. The models came with the skin. But if your rebuilding or you find a kit missing the skin, you can use tissue paper. But it is a bit difficult working with since it has a tendency to tear. Parchment paper works a bit better, but is a bit too stiff for my taste. It doesn’t present the curves in the wings well enough. I have even tried plastic wrap. It works but you need to paint with enamels to get the paint to hold. Hope this helps.
Built a few of these. I still have them.
Thanks for this very informative video. Looking forward to add those models to my collection.
Thank you. Very nice kits. I should think they would be tricky to assemble, and do a neat job, but well worth the effort.
There fun builds
The kits describe aero fabric wing covering. Was this included with these kits? Love these old kit reviews. Thanks
Yes the aero-skin was included along with a bottle of glue
Nice review, but I'm trying to find out how to apply the Aeroskin, not how to simply leave it off.
Can’t help you on the aero skin.
some kits may still have the Aero skin adhesive
