Mike when you run into where the paint peels in small areas,it is due to qc at a petro chemical plant. 32 to years of driving and picking up at these plants, when they switch over to make styrene plastic pellets, some polypropylene pallets get mixed in.this causes small areas of the styrene plastic come very smooth. Polypropylene plastics are use in molded injection for dishes, cups and plastic toys.these get mixed in by accident when they fill the boxes.

Another highly informative video, Mike. For all of my 1/32 or 1/24 aircraft builds that have monocoque construction, I add stressed skin effects by removing material from a lot on a Zero fighter to a minimum on a P-47. We have the luck of living 30 minute drive away from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum that owns and operates a C-47 in D-Day markings that fly along with many of their other aircraft, close or over our house. I can tell from the sound of the engines if it will be the Lancaster, B-25, Canso (PBY) or the C-47 when there is only one of them flying. The C-47/ DC-3 is still impressive and has earned its place in history.
