I dare Ginni to either expose the current cult she's in or try to defend why it's not a cult.

To see that she went through this and is Now spouting Qanon info in 2022 let's us know that she just went from one cult to another

My Mother was in a cult we got her out of it but then she found another cult because her excuse is they made her feel good and she missed the friendships. Mrs Thomas is still in a cult and is trying to be the head of the cult. Just like my mother went to another cult and got into being higher up in the new cult. She like Mrs Thomas became bulldozers in the cult.

BINGO! Exactly! "all the things that got me to Life Spring are still there." I can't help but watch her eyes even as she's telling others "hey! cults are bad!" Her eyes look like she's trapped within herself. Of course, I've never felt I needed someone to tell me they're bad after listening to the actual audio from Jones Town.

One important point about Ginni's background that keeps getting missed is that she was born into a family and raised by parents who reportedly were supporters of The John Birch Society, an extremist right-wing organization that is prone to conspiracy theories and appears to have many parallels with Qanon and even used some of the same jargon. She got out of Lifespring, but that earlier influence does not appear to even have been touched upon. I find it very telling in the video that she says she was advised by everyone to go home and that this was very positive for her. While "go home" is usually very helpful advice for someone leaving a cult, in her case, "home" included this affiliation with a cult-like organization very similar to the far right conspiracy theories she now endorses. Any further counseling she has would need to start there, at the very beginning if she wants to explore how she acquired the beliefs she now holds. Going from her family's John Birch Society philosophy to the views she holds now doesn't seem to be such a radical shift. Her political position appears to be remarkably consistent throughout her life. It is very common for ex-cult members leaving cults to return to the religious and political beliefs in which they were raised. Usually this is not problematic, for example, Steve Hassan returning to his Jewish roots. However, given the background of Ginni's family, we need to look at what this meant for GInni if we want to help her.
Based on what I know from speaking to several people who worked closely with Kevin Garvey, they had a very different perspective from Steve on Kevin's methods. He did not impose political or religious views on anyone and I find Mr. Hassan's :"guesses" on him, as he admits, purely speculative as I do not know of any writings from Kevin that would suggest he held such beliefs, let alone forced them on others.. He stuck to talking about the cult experience with the people he worked with and learning about Robert Lifton was pretty standard in most deprogramming, even back then. As Mr. Hassan admitted in his recent podcast, he and Kevin Garvey did not get along well personally, hence he appears to have a bias against him that I cannot find any support for from people who actually worked with him. As he mentioned, Mr. Garvey is deceased and thus unable to respond to Mr. Hassan's allegations.
Also, I'm not sure why he is so astounded that she switched from Cruz to Trump. That's generally what Republicans or any party does when the candidate from their party win a nomination, they will switch to the winning candidate. Many Cruz supporters switched to Trump, including Ted Cruz himself who really did a major 180.

J.B. fighting communism by endorsing negationist candidates. I saw one of their press releases on csapn. It said the communist modle operates by "placating disenfranchised groups with grievance's real or imagined" Odd that that decided to guarantee certain people would be disenfranchised. started by Fred Koch who was sued out of existence here in the usa so he went to work for Hitler then for Stalin and then comes back leading the anti-communist fight but I suspect he was really working for the communist. their Manchurian candidate to control the their own opposition. I saw that pres release and I was like WTF? it was all like "fight Stalin by fighting MLK."

Because Gini Thomas is not the only person connected, Life spring cult is where she met Clarence Thomas who was brought to Life spring by John Danforth in 1972 along with other young, up and coming republicans.
