But oathsworn just called to me, I think you were on episode 4 or 5 when I just had to jump on the second print kickstarter. HAD TO! My plan is to run the Priest as my main character(no Blade for me), with the Warbear, Huntress and Witch. In my head the Priest is sent on a holy mission from his church to cleanse the Deepwood, he hires the Huntress to guide him, the Warbear to protect him and the Witch is an unwelcome tag along that he keeps a suspicious eye on. Will probably run 2 full character amd 2 companions as I'll be a solo player. Thinking Priest and Warbear as full and Witch Huntress as companions as they are more difficult. I'll let you know how we fair in our mission. As always, thanks for all your hardwork, enthusiasm and community engagement
I'll admit your pronunciation of Japanese was a bit painful, but the game-play itself was interesting, and your enthusiasm is always a joy to witness. I'm somewhat disappointed with the rather blatant typographical errors (repeated sentences, misspelled names of something that is an important quest item, and one of only a few character abilities that you think would have had more rigorous QA, etc.), but they at least didn't actually impact comprehension of the game-play (a wrongly-named item, referencing another existing item, rather than simply a misspelled item, for example), and I'm still quite looking forward to playing the game when it delivers within the next month or so.
Loved the play through Bairnt and never mind any mispronounciations. It is the spirit that counts :) To me the Japanese used occasionally feels inappropriate or wonky anyway including the title Harakiri ^^ (wonder if they ever consulted a native speaker). The typos you encountered, the missing story lead all make me a bit worried. Hope there is nothing totally game or progression breaking. Otherwise I quite like the game play and theme :D Keep it coming please. Looking forward to get my own copy and wonder where to stuff it after so many other giant KS boxes arrived this year... sigh ^^
Re the pronunciation: The pronunciation police have all retired or been fired, so we are free to populate our imaginations with any sounds we want. Bear in mind, Bairnt, that English is unusual in having silent E at the ends of words. In transliterated Japanese, the vowels mostly have the equivalent Italian sounds, consequently: Tomoe is Toh moh ay. -Toby
In your opinion, which game do you think is better? Harakiri or Arydia? I missed both kickstarters for Harakiri and Arydia, and was thinking if these come back to crowdfunding in the future, whether Harakiri or Arydia would be the better game to back.....would you say both the combat and exploration for both games are pretty on-par for both games or is one more superior than the other?
I sadly am not going to be able to answer this question. I have not played arydia I have heard its good. Ill plan to look into it more as it gets closer to delivery sorry I cant help. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching
This looks awesome, BUT I don't think I've seeen so many publishing errors in a single playthrough before. The art work is gorgeous but it feels like no one proof read or played anything. Was this a translated game? Regardless looking forward to the next phase as this is right up my alley!
We noticed this too! The backplate is great but there seems to be some proof reading that needs to be done. Hopefully an faq will help. Thanks for watching!!
I love the games you play. As a personal preference, I'd like to see much less explanation, and more gameplay. I don't think it's necessary to go over every single detail of every little thing you could possibly do or might do, and just talk about what you ARE doing when you're doing it. Appreciate your work.
